hi andy No mate just made it a nice fit and drilled some small holes in it to let the oil get inside to loob it up it should be ok

yes mate it was the rear casting that had 4 cracks in it and 2 of them were very close to each uver and had lifted so the penny was not setting down flat but as look would have it i had a second hand one at home which was spot on so i just unbolted it and swoped them over and the chang it made to the motor was unreal just need to sort it out with martin to see when he can get it back on the rollers . i did see martin yesterday but we are both pushed for time at the min but when it is done i will dig out my old post and see how got it right

very good mate love the alt bracket, much neater and easier to adjust,

also like the bung for dizzyless conversion, does anyone sell a similar thing off the shelf as im going to run coilpacks on my new engine,

 

i dont no mate you could ask MARK about it but to make my one i had to get a old dizzy from a tat yard it came out of a transit on my one then cut the shaft as you have to drive the oil pump

 

Looking good mate, look forward to seeing it one day when I pull me finger out and eventualy attend a meet lol

 

i think your mad taking the risk ian if it gets to hot with friction it could fail & take your motor with it i would really look into fitting a bearing into the housing you made .this is one of richies spares the bearing is not pushed fully home yet


the bearing is an skf explorer 16100 its not worth the risk mate

 

top mod that ian not a job anyone can do thats for sure ,you got some skills mate

 

Thanks ANDY i might just look into that mate as it could go rong but a dizzy dose not have one in it but as you have said it could go rong and i dont wont that . its done about 200 miles sins it went in the car

may have to post you my inlet cam when i get it for the nessacary mods mate ,


your sensor holder ( the red anodised bit ) that justa compression fit mate to seal to the cover ?

beefy the red bit is sealed with tiger seal or similar to cam cover & held in with a 6mm bolt then cam trigger has an o,ring to seal to that also held in with a 6mm bolt

I got the cam kit of MARK

Mark can all so do the mod work to your cam and rocker cover as well and as your getting some of his very nice stuff of him i bet he will do it all for a good price .
I did not have the right size cutter so it tuck some time to do it but when it was done it was a nice fit and to seal it i used a very good sealer that i use to seal any motor work i do . The cam tirger censer / the black bit is out of a silver top mondeo motor from a tat yard Free

O Rich just so you no if the wires are round the rong way on the cam sensor you car wont start just so you no mate .

 

Right iv done a bit more tonight and im very happy that i tuck Andy,s advice on putting a bearing inside my oil pump drive bung as when i come to tack it apart tonight it had oil up inside the bore but there was sines that the shaft had picked up at some time it was ok so the mod was going to have to be done .

So first the shaft wasturnd down to 10mm



Then second the ally bung had to have some work done to it





Then the bearing was fitted onto the shaft



Then put into the ally bung



Its now back in it home and working as it should be
As i was in there i had to take a photo of how the motor looks now i hope you like it



I NEED A NEW CAMRA

 

so if i send you my dizzy shaft you going to mod mine fella

you can buy the wrc/grp a dizzy bungs with bearing fitted etc for about Ł85 ready to fit, I just got one myself ad I didn't have a dizzy to mod

Thats good to no mate . At the end of the day my one has cost me Ł11 . Ł5 for the dizzy from a tat yard and Ł6 for the bearing and if i can make it my self and save in this case Ł74 im happy . Were did you get yours from as not every one can do wot iv done here so it would be nice for the lads that are thinking about doing this to no were to get one from.
