Kev,
Thanks very much mate The middle/front MAY be on the cards for next August time, we shall see
Paul,
Thanks mate, yours is coming on now
Cameron,
Do you mean the underside? I jacked it up the other week and had a look around it and couldn't believe that it was still very shiny and looked very water tight (its been out in the rain numerous times since it was done )
I have one final update but the pics are on my phone, I will do it over the weekend. I'd like to get some pictures of it from under a ramp too but no such luck as of yet

Well the other weekend I went to a garage near me that does laser alignment with drop links etc
It was rather funny because upon telling him I wanted the camber adjusted on the rear he pointed to his screen saying "The rear measurements are in blue - that tells me that it is not adjustable". Then I politely walked to the rear of the car with him, pointed out the 2 huge rosejoints and said "That will adjust the camber"
He got in a huge huff because he couldn't get a spanner big enough then at the end said "They're 36mm if you ever need to know"
I had to get Mike Rainbird to talk to one of the dip-whits setting the car up on the phone because with the settings I'd given him to use, he seemed to think both wheels would be pointing to the left and they were out of tolerence
All in all it was a fun filled morning, and when I left the young-un said "I will see you later, because I think that with the car setup like that it will drag you into the left of the road" Well as I was obviously following Mike R's advice I did not have to take a trip back
A couple of people complimented me on the car there too
I'd also had 2 new rear tyres fitted and I've only had 1 "moment" where the back was trying to catch the front up since this has all been done
Heres some pics
Yes, it's me in the pics
I'd like to thank Mike R for being on the phone that day, so thanks Mike
I guess that completes my rear end resto, but I'll be back

NEEDFORSPEED
Thanks mate
KSA-Cossie
Not really, he was THAT moody/depressed He was suprised because I wanted it 1.5° to 2° negative camber, and me setting it up myself, by eye, one wheel was 1.5° and one was 2° and he was like "Yeah see, they're a little out" then I said "Yes but I did that by eye" and he was amazed I could tell one was a tad out too
It drives SO much better now Kev, it is like a whole new car, I love it
Thanks mate

just seen this and you have done an excellent job on the old girl.
just one question though, you say changing the beam has eliminated squatting under acceleration, how does it do that? as i was under the impresion "sqatting" was controlled via springs and dampers.

Hello Ian
It used to squat a LOT before I changed the rear springs for Ahmed/Leda items, (the old Chassis Dynamics were fooked) this improved things no end, and I think the rest of it could be put down to knackered rear beam bushes? As they were std originals before
bigchez
Thank you very much Chez, I am very happy with it and despite having the beam done (that was paid for from my £2 coin savings pot if you ever saw that post) it was done on a budget and just goes to show what you can achieve if you do things yourself

It was a pleasure doing business with you Tony, top man

There has been a fairly big amount of work done to the car lately
Spare inlet to be stripped, sand blasted and painted:
Package delivered from Matt Lewis
4x 071s
ECT
ACT
Coolant temp for dash
(all other sensors on the car are quite new)
Inlet gaskets
I got this little lot:
Level 8 ECU converted with wasted spark board, and with an MSD chip to run, closed loop fueling, wasted spark/coil pack
Coil pack, twin ignition amps, coil pack leads, amal valve jetted to the setup, and lambda sensor boss
Siemens 55lb injectors
Lambda sensor to be used for closed loop
New wiring loom (Ryan), to go with all the above setup
Once it was taken apart, we saw someone has already fettled with the elbow and the trumpets a bit, which was nice, as it only cost £20 on eBay
Inlet and exhaust manifolds removed
Here are some pics of the inlet
I'm sure my Granny didn't want to read the TV Times
A new use for 20p bits worked a treat as well
The masking up took foooking ages but the result was good I think
More progress
Turbo re-fitted, after a full rebuild at CR turbos
New engine loom all in place new dizzy blanking cap too It felt so good to just chuck the rotor arm on the floor
New turbo oil feed with filter
Inlet back on
Gauges in
TB modded for ALS
All complete, I fitted a turbo heatshield after
And going sideways due to the ALS in the tunnel tonight
As usual, video does not show truely what happened. It went pretty sideways, about twice each way. Then after straightening it up, about 2s later I decided it was a good idea to floor it again, and exactly the same thing happened
