Ok time for a long overdue update ,after fitting a 500 splitter to my mates saff i decieded i fancied one on the turbo ,so ordered a fiberglass one up and did a quick test fit ,I had a saff bumper and knew i would have to cut and shut the two to get the right fit for the splitter ,anyway still work in progress so i will let the pics do the talking.
Bumper will be the same as what is on the car now but with the splitter.
Rough cuts losing the bars.middle one still to be made thinner.

After some measuring the saff bumper was cut to where i needed it.

90 spec was then cut to accept the saff piece


Both sides done ,need final bonding and fiberglassing ,but i needed to test fit the splitter first and get it on to hol the bumper in shape while fiber glassing .

Still lots to do here ,splitter wont be moulded in ,and will stay black .

Cheers guys yes hpoefully it will all pay off ,wanted the front end to look a bit more aggresive and looking at the difference it did to my mates saff ,i think it will do the trick .

Yes did see them a while back ,no fun in buying a bumper done though
did not want to mod the splitter as the turbo bumper goes under at each side ,if you get what i mean ,where a saff stays sort of straight covering the front wheels if you was looking at the car from the front .

 

whats the finish on the spillter like, i want to get one for the 3dr from ian, but worries about quality as im a fussy bugger

Its very good ,if your really fussy can always rub it down and puff it over ,fit wise is perfect though
