Yeah lee the boy thats painting mine has it & its going on monday to get sandblasted i soo wish i had kept it & built a real good car out of the two the blue one is getting the underside all painted the same as the rest of the shell..These cars are soo expensive now dave

Hopefully dave really need a windscreen but its so hard to get a blue top tint one mine is going all milky at the bottom corners

A copy one will do fine dave i will have a look on there i have seen a few but its trying to get them posted thats the prob & i aint traveling over 200 miles for a front window

Stripped the carpet ect out & to say im delighted is a understatment
Its only ever had 2 small plates on the floor & is basicly totaly original couldnt beleive it i was expecting the worst..
Apart from the welding i got done its a very solid shell
the painters back this weeked so the car should be off over this weekend to get prepped cant wait to get it all done & back on the road

its reading 103k mate how accurate that is i dont know its 31 years old (older than me) i havent got alot of history with the car which is a bit of shame but they are so hard to come by these days beggers cant be choosers

The car is in very good order i vant beleive how good it was no big nasty surprises
This is a pic of my old mk2 nordic blue there is big plans for this car & its gonna be proper mint painted underside ect..after mine is done its getting started

Shell should be in primer by the weekend & then the checks , inside the doors ,boot floor, engine bay inside the boot & bonnet are all getting painted & bolted back on then the shell is going to be painted just in time for the interior coming back from getting trimmed need to order a few new window seals ect & thats about it got my eye on a set of 7x13 4 spokes as well

The car was getting block flatted today when i left its fair coming on



This is my mate thats paiting the car's brothers mk1 golf with a 16 valve in it..Paint job is amazing on it
