but yu know what.....im going to bid on another 1.3 mk4 2dr escort tomorrow hehe....
going to keep it standard again, keep the 1.3 in so its decent on fuel, just lower it on the floor again, some s2 alloys again, but keep it with full interior so its not realy noisy, cz i was having it in the neck off the misses lmao...
aint giving up on the old mk4s that easy!!!!
only reason i sold the last one, was because of the 1.6 (not that good on fuel when you put your foot down, and not beeing on the logbook as a 1.6 as im 17)

dont worry jay i'll be keeping it pretty much the same, apart from highering the back of it very slightly, will probably leave the front as it is tho, so if you want the old rear springs i'll let you know when i take them off.

yeye....well ive already got them springs off the fiesta shocks they wer about the same size as the fronts on my old one so should be ok or il take abit more off....
why dont yu put the comps on the escort and let me have the s2 alloys back off you.....
as the ka aint gona be moving in quite along time so that could stay on steelies untill you get some different alloys for the ka or escort...

well seen as this is mine now i suppose i better update the topic really lol.
serviced the car a couple of weeks ago, nothing really majorly wrong with it besides the largish (40mm x 25mm) hole in the floor on the passengers side, but have been told by our MOT tester thats its not a structural part of the car so wont fail the MOT, and also the rear arch's are a bit scrotty so ideally it needs 2 on it, but apart from that its not too bad.
have also sorted the exhaust so it sits pretty much where it should now, and its been highered a bit, but still on chopped springs lol, just not chopped quite as much as the old ones.

the bonnet is covered in little dents and stone chips, the rear bumper has got a crack in it, the bumpers are a pain in the arse as even if you use back to black on them they are grey again within a couple of days, i just want something i can go everywhere in as an every day car as im still trying to get this track car finished.
dont get me wrong it was ok before, but it only looked good before because of how low it was, and i'v had to higher it because it was stupid, i couldnt even go to the local shopping centre, i'v got a garage that i can use which the dam thing is too low to go in, it scrapes on the works car park, it was ridiculous
tell ya what, if you like it so much i'll swap it someone for a red rst when its been sprayed.

as much as most of you dont like me kitting it i thought i'd update this topic anyway.
car is almost ready to be sprayed, just need to prime the roof and pillars then it needs another rub down, not doing the bonnet as it will have an rs one.
rs rear bumper
rs kit
90 spec front bumper
and its also now got full rs interior, carpet, all panels, speaker pods, all the seats, parcel shelf, etc etc, only thing it hasnt got at the moment is a centre console.
and i'v also bought this for it
bottom end (pistons have gone to have a bit of work done on them due to a little accident, meaning i broke 1 lol)
stage 2 t3 hybrid with -31 actuator
ported gas flowed head now with a t285 cam
smoked rear lights, clear front indicators, and new window seals
and i'v got a vernier pulley in my room
and going to pick up a scorpion exhaust from the turbo back in a couple of weeks
currently undecided as to weather or not im gona leave it mfi or convert it to efi, am swaying more toards efi now as i'v found a cheap inlet manifold, an adapter plate, and a loom, so would just need a chipped ecu.
thats it for now.
hoping to get it sprayed in a week or 2, cant be too fussy though as my mates doing it very very cheap for me so its just a case of whenever he is free.

what i think aswell if you kit it...
but no he aint going to replace the arch, always gives me stick about the nasty job it was when all i did was ge all the s-hit/rust from out of it and put some filler in there, he then brought it off me about a week later so i thought why bother in getting it sorted....and now he always goes on about the shit job it was!!!!
what a p-enis!!

But now you have put filled in it how you did its an even longer job to make the arch the correct shape..
RSandy
its getting sprayed tomorrow, he has the full Rs kit for it, going to have the rest of the interior panels (centre consol etc) to make it exactly the same inside as an Rs turbo.. and even better still he's already bought everything to take it that one step further
So unlike most on here he is putting his money where his mouth is and doing what he says he is going to do.. so just all shut the FUCK UP

for a near standard (looking) mk4 escort that looks really, REALLY well.
sits mint, is uber clean, nice wheels etc
i love this kind of styling...makes such a difference to the look of a car, even though it's still faily standard if you get what i mean.

it didnt need respraying though, just the rear arch sorting and new red bonnet as it had a few dents in it....
the reason it looked so good was because of it that low...
