no updates on the bodywork side of things just yet but i did buy some more spares, a transfer box and prop! because every 1 knows that if you even drive your RS2000 4x4 the transfer box breaks

the only reason I dont have standard alloys on mine is because of my bigger brakes

its expensive but worth it, i could have easily just gone and bought another RS2000 or 2 with the amount ive spent on mine

but at the end of the day the same thing would have happened to them and i plan on keeping this car a few years so it was worth doing

ok here are some old pics off my phone showing more trouble that the car caused me

old engine whose headgasket decided to let go on the motorway and i didnt like the look of the pistons and things so a newer lower mileage engine was sourced 2nd hand for less than £200 and fitted

was replaced by

also some pics of where i reversed it into a renault megane scenic

then we stuck a new light in and repaired it so it was useable

i also had a slight off in the snow

took her on the rollers @ noble motorsport

all i hear is good things about the 2.3, apart from the ones that have broke rod bolts, but im sure a set of ARP ones will sort that problem, wont be having a 2.3 in mine till summer at the earlyest tho, but ordering up some stack gauges on friday i hope

Hi kitchy

these 2.3 's can be rebaord easy when i was looking at the block theres loads of meat on the we use to bore pinto engines alot more than these and they never cracked

i suppose if it was turbo'ed then there might be a problem but defo not the case on these 2.3's for N/A applications

defo change the rod bolts to the ARP we do that with the cossie engines aswell

that engine your mate bought is a good engine it hasn't done much miles

let me know how he gets on with it

cheers marco
