thanks lads.

popped around there today and Neil explained that he flattens the laquer and then uses rubbing compound on it,this gets rid of the swirls etc...then gets a good polishing when Neil is happy with it.

a few pics to show you.

flattened down wing...



after a bit of rubbing compound on....and not been polished yet!




this is the bonnet...not been finished yet with the rubbing compound,god knows what it will be like when all completed.

not really sure,Neil said he had a set and fitted them.

think they are spare ones he had for his 500,probably used i think,Neil is selling all his spares for the 500 and i got them aswell as a few other bits.

could not help wanting the front bumper and spoiler,but as i'm not keeping the car i did not see it as a good idea.

his bits are on ebay.

thanks lads.

well its home from the paint shop.

just got to fit the engine and the engine bay pieces etc....

needs a few minor jobs to do around and inside the car but nothing to worry about,only stupid things like the boot lock,grill mesh,plastic kick panels etc....

the car is excellent, thanks Neil.












needs under the bonnet cleaning.

will be cleaning all the crossmember up before the engine goes in,so its all mint.

so,not that long to go now before its on the road.

not sure on the spec yet,i have got AJC's engine out of his saff,been rebuilt and got a polished and ported head on it.

i have got a set of greens and a t34 too,so, might aswell fit them on it.

should be ok when all in.
