Sierra Track Car

Did a bit more painting - Metal Cast in smoke colour.
I think it suits the carbon stuff I have and am going to do all the tanks as well.
Started prelimary design for electrics - going to create some junction boxes and such under dash, rear and front junction boxes with spring cage terminals.
New looms.
Pectel and Motec power distribution module - this replaces all fuses and relays. Speaks Can bus to ecu and dash and has 30 outputs (8 x 20A) and 16 inputs. Completely programmable so need to think of a few things for it to do (eg. fan control, no ignition till oil pressure on crank, fuel pump check on startup etc).
Switch boxes and motec shift light. Use the honeywell mil spec toggles and piezo led pushbuttons. The shift lift in Can bus and each led is individually programmable for brightness and colour (think there is 8 colours).
And dash (it is a bit dusty).
Motec SDL dash - 16 analogue in, can bus, rs232 to pectel, 4 digital in, 4 digital out (no pwm but can do 2d/3d tables), lambda, logging, backlit.

Mounted the seats - this was a real pain as the Sierra has a cross member that gets in the way.
I had to trim the seat bracket to get the front of the seat to sit in front on the crossmember but still allow the seat to go low enough for good ground clearance. Maybe it is just the seat I chose though? It is quite a wide seat (for my mega ass) and needed the high sides so the side intrusion bar could still be legally mounted high (it must be lower than the seat).

Awesome Linc
I haven't had a good look around the site for a long time (due to new family member and house renos) ... so I'm glad I stumbled into your thread. Its good to see some photos of your hard work ... well done
Look forward to seeing the damage in person!
Congratulations on your baby mate ... I hope all are in good health.

Mounted the dry sump pump. Made this so it's low and forward so I could fit the power steering pump to the rear of the dry sump pump. Ended up struggling so will have to buy a group a style engine mount kit with straight arms.
Had to machine deeply into the standard power steering mounting to get the pump in close.
Power take off to mount power steering pump. Going to use a HD KSE pump as it is only 73mm thick.
Spigoted an adaptor onto the aux pulley driven by 3 solid dowells. Got a 50% crank pulley set and a %54 crank pulley set to try.
Engine is close. Have done the mountune oil squirters, deck height, solid lifters, cc and compression ratio and valve reliefs.
Got 7.4:1 with little piston machining so pretty happy.

Will check but I think it was $1100 incl the NTK sensor - will check current pricing.
Sadly no sequential but that is a blessing in disguise as have heard only the new RD6 gearbox sequential has all the bug fixes. H pattern is nice and short though about 2" 1st to 2nd. Absolutly no class would let me race with a sequential as well.
P.S. - tnt sent today!

What do you want to know - modded 6 degree beam, leda coilovers with 8.8 diff. Not sure which ARB yet - Tony at TCS has a good GpA solution but container has left so not got it.
Jig to mount diff.
Hole for new fuel tank (dont ask yet as the lasercutters fucked up big time and it is a sore point) - but will be a nice sumped tank without the need for a swirl pot. Something along the line of this;
Also did a fibreglass infill for the sunroof panel going to get is carbon wrapped. Could take a mould off it if anyone wants one?
And the master tig welder "all tuckered out"
