Aye, the 6r4 was the inspiration behind it!
Cant wait for the first drive, gonna be awesome, wasnt bothered about it for a while due to it taking so long but now its near completion the hairs on the back of my neck are in the cocked position all the time :P
There were a few ideas about how to route the downpipe but due to how low the car is and no seperate prop tunnel due to FWD config i couldnt get an exhaust under it.
So its routed under the sump and exits behind the passenger front wheel. It does seem a bit close to the turbo outlet but im thinking its going into the big ass I/C so shouldnt matter too much!

got it back about 8pm on friday night and re-united it with the garage after a 2 year absence!
As you can see not much progress since the last time but the brakes are plumbed in and bleed and also the fuel lines have been fitted also.
Ill see if the original AXGT bumper will fit with a bit of persuasion, the rear bumper ill make out of sheet steel/ally similar to the 6r4 i reckon.
Im hoping to have it all wired up and running before december then ready for the track days next season!
Engine aint been run yet either, need to fit wiring loom and refit all the interior yet too , harnesses, fire extinguisher, 6x9s and 12" sub :P
Ill need a bit of guidance when it comes to the engine wiring and sensors etc as this is the first cosworth engine ive had.

Dave not Claire.
Paul from pc automotive in lincoln has done something similar. Its not finished as he is always busy. But he went sierra floor and 4x4 2.8 Turbo Technics power.
Paul is the guy that did a 4x4 zetec turbo fiesta years ago using mondeo running gear.
This one is mental and i hope the owner gets it finished. Always nice to see a creation through to the end.

Hi all,
Thought I would post an update after all this time! Have just picked up the beast from AW Tracksport after many years of looking after it. A special thank you to Andy Waters for devoting so much time to my car and being such a top bloke! He has been excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone wanting honest, down to earth and superior expertise in setting up their race/track day car.
Car is now back home and ready to be taken to the next level. Andy has done done a great job with the mechanical aspects, now it's my turn to sort out the electrics and cosmetics plus getting it road legal so I can enjoy it every Sunday rather than just track days
Next step is to get the engine mapped and set up for fuelling and ticking over correctly!
Will post some pics and vids shortly once I work out to do it again!
Cheers
Taz

Holy christ! I just had to register for this forum so that I could comment on this!!!!!
I've been keeping an eye on this thread for years hoping that you'd get your finger out and complete this bad boy! I couldn't believe it when I saw your post from last night!!!!!!
Not sure if you're a member of AXOC but I suggest becoming a member and starting a project thread!
Wow!
