nice one ron,its taken me a few days to read through your whole thread .dont get too much time on here at mo.
loving the car,i didnt realise it was stretch's old one ive always loved that car,and its just as sweet in its new form
who is this joe bloke?gs motorsport,i hear quite a bit about him.wheres he based?
im suprised you havent found out what she's pushing out yet.how many miles she done on the engine build?

NIL 7717; cheers yeah stretch's old shell wanted the mintest shell i could find think i done quite well

joe ( gs motosport ) he is based in collier row i cant recommend him enough to everyone he is a top bloke

joe built the engine to his spec which is 350bhp he has been buliding them since the early 80's so i take his word i've had a few races now with cars that say their 380-400 bhp and i've beaten them so im happy its the torque that is the most impressive thing about the engine, i've done 3000-5000 miles on the engine now with not one problem

if you see me about i'll take you out for a drive in it

thats not a bad result then! unfortunately there are alot of bigger figures banded about by peopl that come off worse than some lower power cars
would love a passenger ride in it,as i said a long while ago i loved NAG when you had her.she looked lovely and went so well but sounded so different to every other cossie

to me an equal or higher torque figure is more desirable than a huge bhp figure

its easy for people to say i've got 400 bhp with greys and t4 but if it aint working properly its worthless really!! lol when joe was building the engine he said to get rid of my old exhaust which was a scorpion with middle box removed and get a mongoose with the centre box in, he said trust me you'll love it, and i did lol it was all to work with the engine to increase the torque i love the sound of it sounds completely different to anything else, joe aimed for the same torque or slightly more with the engine, yeah i'll be their tuesday night

you can see for yourself how it goes i read in your post your thinking who to use i would say give joe a think

he says it reduces the torque, he is very reasonable on prices mate he doesnt bullshit you! he will only do what needs doing, he built his own 3 door 4x4 440 bhp t4 air injectors it is like driving a n/a engined car the turbo spools up at 2000 rpm if thats what you wanted get him to take you out in it, it is mental

strange on the torque thing,as mine felt quicker when i took the box out.maybe thats just an illusion due to the extra noise.
2k spool up! jesus that must seem strange,im so used to having a bit of lag.is yours that sort of pulling sensation then?(i dont mean the women either )
i like to feel i own a turbo.

wished it pulled the women my missus wouldnt though!!
mine isnt laggy at all 2000 rpm and it pulls! you defimatelly know you've got a turbo still though you'd definatelly notice the difference with the middle box back in, joe's engines sound proper as you know as you said about mine

i may be speaking to sue at collins again then to get a new front section

i may well have to speak to joe and see what he can offer then nearer the time. its so irratating trying to know where to spend the cash on the engine.i can only afford to have it done once and want it done properly and reliable.it may seem alot to ask but surely its possible.

will be looking forward to a run out in yours to see how she performs mate.but if NAG was anything to go by im sure i'll be impressed.

it's runnin honda integra type r 1800 with hayabusa throttle bodies tubular manifold, think its running 220 bhp, he has just fitted a custom rear beam with rear discs and fully adjustable
