got some parts to pick up in swizerland
so will get it the full info one day,

the history is in the chassie number,

i see a lot of cars with this missing and once gone its very hard to trace its history,

its like my labatts car it has the chassie number on there and was still in its original colours, which again is very rare,

but as with both my labatts cars they where purchased direct from lawrence bristow by the guy i got them off, so there history is all there, BUT NO WRITEN PAPERWORK.

tim harvey also confirmed that the cars where sold to bristow at the end of the 90 season and he remembers seeing the two cars in bristows garage at his house a few months later,

the goode car has its original chassie plate GGR 001 on the inner wing so again very easy to trace and have had it all confirmed by graham goode,

my old ANZ sierra had the original chassie number on the front panel and i had all history from andy rouse confirmed by e/mail for its 87/88 life untill he sold it in 89, to a guy in france which in the end is where the guy i bought it off got it,

on the strenght off this history from rouse and old phots in booked and the old bathurst videos it was clearly the correct car,

so much so that i sold it to a guy in australia because off the bathurst history.

the old owner did not try and resurch the history off the car and as such sold it for a lot less then it was worth,

for me it was quite easy as i know andy in personally,

may have a go in dtrc in the thunder saloon,

but am planning on useing the merc in there myself next year as greg is fitting a new engine in his jag space framed car, and will be useing that,

going to try the english rounds of the dutch supercar as well next year,

That Dutch Supercar looks a bit pricy... and does Greg know about the rule changes in the DTRC championship re spaceframed cars, no turbo's allowed in spaceframed cars. But i'm guessing hes going big V8 ???

It will be good to have you out in the DRTC next year, that Merc certainly gets a lot of looks, And it looks like there will be a few more cars fighting it out at the sharp end ... the V6 twin Turbo Mk2 Escort should be out and possibly a 2.5 Duratec Mk2 .

Anyways good luck this sat/sun..

he uses the same spec engine as john cross with 5.7 litre ford v8 and well over 500bhp

so they dont need turbos

dont know much about twin turbo mk2 escorts but a single turbo cosse powerd one would be still quicker as the engines much lighter,

are you going to brands for this weekends races?

p.s the dutch super car races are not as bad as you think with the last race at silverstone this year was Ł625 which was two hours testing on friday with 30 min qualifing and a 50 min race on saturday and then another 50 min race sunday,

compusary driver change so you split the cost with your team mate,

so Ł315 each for three days at the track with plenty of track time and they allways use the best track, with full siverstone cousce,

10 entry tickets per team and three paddock passes and two vip tickets for free hospitally food all weekend.

Stone me ... do you reckon we can run Andy Pipes Iccle yella Escort in the Dutch Supercar
That does good that price, how can they do it for that price when everything else is this country is so dear. Is there a sign on fee or is per race?

Won't be at Brands this weekend wanted to be there for the finals but other commitments took over when Andys Engine blew at Lydden... the Missus said shes having me this weekend ... well one out of 52 aint bad
So you best make sure that starter on the Merc is working... wont be there to do the pushing like Silverstone

Are you entering the truck in the truck races ???

congrats on the weekends results Martin,

Qualifiying 1st and then a second place in race 1 , just 0.239 behind Rod, and 34 seconds infront of John. And the fastest lap.
Second again in the 2nd race and only 0.199 seconds behind Rod again.... bet he was working hard for change.

Bet Greg was pleased just wish i had been able to make it to see it...

yer it was good.

all we needed was to get to get in front and the greg would no dout have got away, as he was clearly faster and was being held up badley thought the bends,

with both races being a standing start we knew that the escort of burley would get the lead, so all he could do was hound him for ten laps and atleast gave burley a good race and make sure he could not back off at all,

roll on the rolling start races!

p.s there is no join fee for dutch super car so its very good value,
