Here's pics from today. The black RS has now gone to the scrap yard, so ive cleaned the garage up a bit and sorted out bits I shouldn't need. All the bits I shouldn't need need have been added to the for sale section.
The van won't be here till atleast next weekend, but Ive got 2 other jobs on atm to keep me busy this week. When all my painting/powder coating equipment arrives and these 2 jobs are out the way I will start tidying and painting everything ready to fit. Got a few good ideas lined up, especially for the wheels... But you will have to wait and see

MarkyG, It wasn't too bad, so I stuck it up for sale @ £50 in the RS section on here. No interest and I needed it out the way, so she's gone Im afraid.
Lincoln, yes mate and I can't wait to get started Van SHOULD be here Friday, so the Punto GT were doing a head gasket on has to be done by then... But we found a crack in the cylinder head and are currently sourcing another.

Slight UPDATE...
BAD NEWS!
The van won't be here till 1 day next week now The bloke picking it up cannot do it today, which I only just found out
GOOD NEWS!
All my powder coating/spraying equipment should be here early next week So if this engine hasn't sold by then I will take it to bits and powder coat everything and use it for the van
Will keep ya posted as things develop..

Just been playing with me new compressor and sand blasting gun
Here's the old black rocker cover from the engine:
And here it is after literally 5mins of blasting:
Im gonna build a blast box so I can hopefully re-use most of the grit. Otherwise its taken me 2 bottles to get this far and @ £5 a bottle thats gonna cost too much I would of finished it off, but will wait till Ive built a sand box.
Ive got my spray gun, sand blasting gun, compressor, powder coating gun and 6inch sander already Waiting on the powder coating colours and an oven to cure the powder coats... They should be here within next 2 weeks
Not sure whats happening with the van atm. My mates let me down and everyone Ive spoke to so far can't pick it up till next week

Well, the van HAS ARRIVED! It don't look too bad, bits of rust here and there, but I will find out everything once Ive stripped the paint off. Will post pics tomorrow and get started on stripping it Wednesday.
The van will be put on hold while my bro's Cos is getting sorted out tho

GOOD NEWS The van has finally arrived Its not mint, but I wasn't expecting it to be lol It has mostly surface rust and it looks as tho the battery tray and fuse box metal is in good order with no holes...
Ive started stripping it, but not doing anything major as we're building my bro's Sierra Cos:
So updates will be slow over the next few weeks

@ Marky G... I have been tempted to go down that route, but I don't think me bro would appreciate me nicking all his bits. If the van did go Cos, it would have to be 4x4 to get power down (And Im NOT stripping my Esc Cos )
I will be stripping the van today, need bumper, engine, etc off it so she's ready to start on the body work

Done a bit to the van today. Took engine/box out and front bumper/head lights off. There's not really much I can do atm. When I get another day Im gonna clean the car down to get as much dirt off so I can see what welding or anything that needs doing!
Here's what I did today:

Cheers Sidewayz/RS Pickup
I want this van sorted asap Alex. Its gonna take time atm as we're sorting me bro's Cos out. That should only take 6 weeks at most to get on the road
But I am becoming a trader for Kent Cams and BK Racing with a few others I am waiting on replies from, such as Magnecor, AVO suspension, Piper Cams, Samco hoses, etc. This will help the van build and help any local people such as yourself get bits cheaper, easier and quicker

Dunk, regretfully the orange cos is being sold. Its gonna take toooooo much work to get the shell and running gear to be roadworthy. So me bro is hopefully buying a registered shell and putting the diff and engine out of this into it
Will work out cheaper and easier to do, so I can start the van sooner than expected as it won't take long to get me bro's on the road
Only welding I can see needs doing is the drivers side sill. Its got a hole there, so will chop it out and weld it up The rest looks to be surface, but wont find out till I strip all the paint off.
Cheers Marky.

Cheers Harvcore, what spare ya got for a van??
Im going full turbo kit, painted engine bay, etc. Im using it for a demo van for me and my Brothers business. I have powder coating equipment, so will be painting all the engine, etc and will use our skills to create a nice little sound system in the back. Its gonna be used as and when I need to or if I need to pick an engine up or anything.
Will get back on the van in a few weeks, once my bro's Sierra Cos is on the road. In the meantime I can crack on with painting engine parts, tidying up the loom, etc when I get spare time...

Ok, now wishing I never did that with the grinder The vans gonna need front panel, cross member, wings and rear arches (Inner and outter) and possibly a new roof as its got rust on the inside. Not sure if its surface or not yet as I haven't rubbed it back!
So, the van project might be going in the bin now Im not spending £150-£200 on panels before even starting painting, etc... I was hoping for a good start with minor welding, but this is turning into more than I bargained for! I wanna teach myself welding, but got too many jobs on atm and with my powder coating arriving soon I haven't got the space to do all this work with the van
Will have a think and decide later today!

OK, so Ive decided to scrap the van! Will keep my eyes open for another project as I really wanna build myself something, but this van is gonna be too much time and hard work atm Especially as my powder coating stuff is costing more than expected I won't have enough cash to pile into the van and the Esc Cos!
