Finally started to gather the bits i need to turn it from an understeering skip into a well balanced road/track car The intention is to keep the car as a useable road car instead of just a track slag
The planned spec is:
Front Suspension: Bilstein Coilovers, 909 style top mounts, Adjustable TCAs and new anti roll bar bushes instead of compression struts.
Front Brakes: 330mm discs with AP 4 pots and DS2500 pads.
Rear Suspension: Bilstein Coilovers, solid beam mounts, standard diff mount, adjustable rear beam/arms and anti roll bar drop links modified to use rose joints.
Rear Brakes: 315mm discs with AP 4 pots and DS2500 pads.
Few pics of what i have so far
Adjustable TCAs
Solid Rear Beam Mounts
New DS2500 Brake Pads
Some AP 4 pots for the rear

hi Richy
i have always said you drive my car on the road even at normal/high speed
you will not belive it,they are no noiser than polys they will transmit more noise if you have got uprated diff mount , like grp a item
Euan
my 3dr is all metal to metal i have no rubbers at all , solid beam mounts /rose joined suspension/rose jointed trailing arms/ rose jointed drop links/rose jointed tca's /nylon front anti roll bar bushes/grp a top mounts
the cars its self is perfect on the road and handels verywell
there are somethings that i dont recommend for road cars when everything is metal to metal
use standard engine mounts(except 4wd)/standard gearbox mount/ and diff mount
resaons why i had all these uprated items on the road it's was too fooking noisy and vibrates like hell ,everything was transfered to the body
if you dont car about noise/vibration then go for all the uprated stuff but i can't live with vibration/noise on a road car it just does my head in
thats me tho you have to draw aline between a race car and road car and i am on the limits for it been a road car but still has all it's creature comforts and is not noisy at all
thats was called trail and error samething that went into the suspension getting the right balance between road a track to be good at both

Today finally got round to fixing the front driveshaft which decided to give up last sunday on the way home from our Local Group RSOC meeting. Having dropped Trev home a touch of boost was met with a bang and a bad wheel wobble
Intial investigations during the week pointed at the nsf inner cv/tripod. Trev kindly removed the shaft from my 4x4 P100 project so we could try and fix it
Removed the driveshaft to find one of the parts of the tripod had snapped in half Unfortunately it also damaged the cv joint housing so that was changed as well.
Driveshaft removed
Tripod with bit missing
Broken bit
Replaced the tripod and cv joint and its back to 4wd

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Hi Marco,
I've done it myself too Until it was explained to me i guessed that it was right
Front driveshafts are my nightmare, everytime i've built the car up and got to the day before an event one of them breaks somehow, always one of those poxy tripod things!
