Looking good m8,

what spec engine did you decide on in the end? Is see your intending on running MFi, I was expecting you to go Efi / aftermarket.

I've also noticed the Norris stickers

Had a total change of heart with regards to the engine. Was pretty much adiment(sp?) that I was going 16v turbo with aftermarket management then a few things happened. The main happening was going out in Tim B's car. Was an absolutely perfect engine and felt just right. Also tied in with the fact that Swillington Auto Care couldnt build me a performance lawnmower engine let alone a 16v turbo I decided to go cvh. So for now its a stage 1 NMS cvh. Trying to get the engine bay nice and clean this year then I'll do the rear next year, then hopefully job done. Becoming a dad has kind of taken up too many garage hours so Im limited to what I can do.

yeah, a year of that was waiting for Swillington auto care to build an engine for it, after 12 months I pulled the car out and decided to do it myself (well, put it in myself).

Its looking good mate,

Nice to see so many Tubs getting full rebuilds and giving them a new lease of life.

Mine is in being painted over Christmas and hopefully Santa will bring me a Digi Camera so i can get some shots of it on the web.

Shame you didn't go for the 16V Turbo motor, there are a lot of people going that way and the results seem to be very good.

but ha, its looking dam good and hopefully will see it at the 2004 shows??

thanks matt, seats are sparco roadster, think there 300 each from jizz tweeks or wherever. They are very comfortable and accomodatig, my mate weighs 20st and he got in them, looked like a fat bird in size 10 jeans but he did get in them. I dont want to go out in tims car again if its faster than before, I cant afford to keep up, the last outing cost me Ł4k
keep on truckin

top of the pile of paying customers behind the groupees yes. What a waste of a year, got to admit his excuses were entertaining if nothing else, "that block we got, well, someone was in the other day form stolen vehicles and checked the block number and it was stolen, so had to take engine back" what really? and then the "yeah all the machining has been done on the block", 2 days later, "theyve crack tested the block and its cracked so they cant do anything with that one". And so it went on, he should try stand up.

Did you buy your fuel accumilator new from Ford, or did you spray it, and where did you get the polybushes to do the steering rack from mate? Powerflex dont list anything like that.

Thanx

Tony the bushes are deflex bushes, cheap as chips the accumulator I sprayed myself, had it fine grit blasted then sprayed it laurel green I think, can check if you want, think as standard they are that little bit darker but it looks okay as is. Metering head was just vapour blasted. Servo is new so is rack. Brake pedal cross linkage and servo mounting brackets were just sand blasted and powder coated gloss black. Also brake master cylinder was vapour blasted and sprayed myself.
need any more info tony just ask, ive been stuck on many parts and tried looking for help with no avail so most parts I just bit the bullet and went for it. Wiring loom is turning out to be a right pain in the arse to make look any where near decent.
