When Fords reigned Supreme - The Touring Car years
Absolutely love these cars, will always have a special place with me, would have loved to been around in this era to see some of these truly stunning cars own the tracks!
If anyone else has pics of track/race action then post em up, this is the thread to do it on people!

I'll have to search a few more places for these awesome cars, started getting a video collection together of the BTCC & ATCC (aus), is really worth it!
Have to stop knicking things off the RSOC!

i believe the sierra was the reason they banned turbo and supercharging cos it was so dominant . . . .nothing else 4 it 2 race against . . . bar other sierras! lol

Nice one Ad, I have that very Dick Johnson car racing the Skyline's (R32 GTR's) in the Australian Touring Car Championships of 1988 & 1990 on video, absolutely stunning footage!
I just can't comprehend how well they are suited to track being RWD, they fookin fly past the Skyline's in the straight which is awesome enough but they handle too!

T4KAF, Think your right there mate, Beemer's ruled next year with the 2.0ltr N/A engine (BTCC)

Great video!! how exciting was that, much better than it is today. Why did they have two diffrent classes racing at the same time though?
