i have buy this escort in 1996 and i do a big restauration , now we are in 2005 and i must sell this car
, because i have bought a escort cossie and i need place in my garage .the front bumper is a real spoiler RS.

in 2000 i have stop my S1 in a parking and the morning after , i have find my car with a little accident ( the front spoiler was broken) .
at this moment i dont have internet and i dont know that in england you have a lot of parts for FORD (in france it is very difficult to find parts for a S1 , here we have a lot of peugeot and renault ).
so it was impossible for me to buy a original spoiler of S1 and it is the reason for what i buy a RS spoiler of S2
.
she looks really very very bad ????

Yes, better as a standard Series one, change it back when it next has some work done on it.
Your English is better than my French
and a little better than my English!!! so no need to say sorry.
Car looks very clean though, you obviously take car of it
and to be in favour of Ford over the French hot hatches (Pug 1.9 GTi ) is good in my book.

Give the guy a break he would of kept it S1 im sure if he could of

I take it your saying there that you coulden't find a s1 spoiler...surely if its a genuinee s1 it would have already had a s1 spoiler??? Correct me if im wrong!!

I would have left the car original too.
But he said that he left the car in a parking lot back in 2000 and when he came back the front spoiler was damaged. A (new) S1 spoiler is very difficult to get hold of in Renault and Peugeot country, so maybe he was kinda "forced" in the direction of S2.

sorry i dont answer at all the questions because i dont understand all them ( my english is not very good) .
now with internet i realise it is very simple to have parts of S1 , and if i must do a restauration now , i do a very beautiful S1 but in 2000 i haven t internet and it is very difficult for me to have parts of S1 ( in ford in france he dont know the S1 exist , when i go to ford , he said me the car is too old and he haven t parts for hem ).
