I had a vectra gsi after i got rid of the cossie, it was very nice but just not fast enough
I also had a Cav SRI (Still got) that I loved driving, the handling is really good with Koni adjustables, and I love the look of it too.
So the obviously choice was Cav Turbo, the looks and handling I loved, plus the power (well more actually lol) of the cossie![Smokin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smokin.gif)
I have to say, in comparison; the cav feels alot better built and higher quality, lighter, better handling and more modern all round than a saph.
The saph interior is VERY dated really, whereas the cav one still looks fresh

Its 5", was on the car when i brought it.
At first i didnt like it atall, but its cut into the bumper.
Its grown on me alot though so its staying!
Everyone comments on it when I post pics up, but when you see it in the metal it really suits the car

I wasnt saying i dont like it mate, i think it suits it aswell as its obviously a fair sized car so it doesnt look out of place really.
Any yeah it looks better cut into the bumper, most cav turbos ive seen have half of the tail pipe sticking out and it looks awful!.

I agree!
There were about 25 of em on the Cav Turbo stand at Trax, and every single one apart from mine and one other car had twin square pipes hanging below the bumper!
Makes a nice change I recon

Splitter was already on, i thought about taking it off, but it looks ok.
Might get it colour coded sometime....
The mesh was sprayed the same as the car when it was done, but has come off.
Again, Ive been thinking about getting it done, or may just take the mesh off completly.
Have only had it about 4 weeks so not had time to sort all the little bits i want to change yet

Yeah, romoured to be only 500-1000 left on the road now
Like you said, finding a good one is very hard!
As for the TXB, yeah it is definitly the weak point, BUT if its looked after properly then there is no reason for it to fail.
You can also get it converted to be locked in 4x4 permenantly which removes all the hydrolic crap which causes them to fail

I've got a question for you though - is the 4 wheel drive system not permanently engaged then as you mentioned it being locked out to solve the transfer box problem?
Cheers,
Andy

No, the box has a viscous coupling which has an ecu to control it.
This allows it to switch the power between the front and rear depending on conditions.
The system is also semi-permanent in that it will switch itself off when braking above 16mph. The theory being that this will leave the car in Fwd and hence make the handling more predictable when cornering.

Lowering them too much puts alot of strain on the TXB, so most people dont bother unless they are running 2wd (which most are!)
Mine is Polar sea blue, which goes purple in the sun
