Default My new toy!

Picked this up Monday night. Sold my xr3i as was sick of it always going wrong regardless how much I spent on it!

Always wanted a rs2k. Hoping this will be kinder to me then the 3i, will just have to get used to the fuel :/

Has a magnex exhaust system with de cat.
Chipped with the APS removed.
Drilled and grooved discs with green stuff pads.
Front strut brace with pipercross

Completely solid underneath arches are mint.

Has a toad alarm and immobiliser which is a pain tbh but i'll keep it on for now.

Have a few plans for it but nothing major for now, just enjoy driving it and the noise it makes

would never have guessed by all the wanted ads you keep putting in wrong section , Gotta love a rs2k but stick a set of original alloys or some nice 7j ones on it and you have a winner, I always break more rs2ks than I keep

Yes I want some rs7 diamond cuts but they are out of my budget tbh so either some 17inch softlines or maybe escos alloys not really decided yet. I'll keep it how it is for now though! Looks better in the flesh then the pics as I found when I first saw it!

Yes plenty powerfull enough for me think its around the 165bhp mark but hoping to get it on the rollers soon.

Do prefer my old school cars but always had a soft spot for these.

Anyway I can stop the fusebox issue?

Yes would be good to know if there is something I could do to stop the fusebox issue?

Yes underneath is mint! Been fully under sealed and is very clean not hiding any surprises! Straight through MOT with no advisories! It has been very well looked after going through the service etc!

On thing that does annoy me is the alarm/immobiliser!! Roughly how much would it be too take it off? Cant start it with out locking then unlocking it, its a right pain!!

What oil should be used as a lot of people say to use different ones!?

Is it a Cat 1 Alarm as most are like that if you leave it too long between opening and then actually starting the car ?

If it's a pain then I would leave it as it will also be a pain for any light fingering thief as well mate.

I would say 5w30 too. Try just slighty toughing the button on your key fob.

Yes you have to lock it and unlock it to start it, you only get 15 seconds to start it before the immobiliser kicks back in so then you have to lock it again. It drives me mad. Yes it is a cat 1 alarm with certificate etc.

It also runs the battery down so needs a new one soon as sometimes it only just starts.

Not that I know of. Its been fine when ive been driving it. Only time it got hot is when I picked it up and I got stuck in traffic for 10-15 mins standing then it crept up but soon as I got on the move it was fine.

It may of overheated etc in the past but has been fine with me so far!

Leave it alone then mate, good alarm

Get yourself a spare battery for the fob to keep in the car, we always do just incase the battery dies and your miles from home.

Forgot to say, it should also have a valet mode for when you are working on it so it doesn't keep arming ?

Did you not get a manual with the alarm ?
