On board video from today's hill climb race [Escort mk1]
Enjoy!
It was a promising run, but I got yellow flagged in the last corner, damn it!!! I then screwed up the re run by doing a 360 in the first corner:/

I do have to admit i do not know 100% of what's done to it, as I bought it off my uncle as it is after he built it. I know it's running an A8 cam and a twin choke carb of a v6. As for the running gear, we use a 2000e gearbox. Recently I changed the half shafts from the standard ones to the ones off a Fiat 132 (alterations required), as the standard ones were breaking all the time. A 4:4 welded diff, because in our class we are not allowed to use a limited slip one, and an open diff would not work well enough.
That should be it, in another class a 1300cc is allowed to have twin webbers, quaife gearbox and run on slicks. In that class limited slip is allowed, but some still prefer the welded diff option

Only his pride was hurt, it's never nice when an accident happens
In case you were wondering, here is the car in question. Haven't seen the amount of damage done, but I've been told it wasn't small
