You say that, but (and I don't know the mk1 in question) I'd wager that for it to beat an Audi R8 (Turbo?), then the mk1 is no longer a cheap car. It might not be Audi R8 money, but for a mk1, with the amount that must have been spent on it to get the performance it has, it's dear for a mk1 Escort...

Plus, I gotta ask. Why do you "love" it when an old car beats a car "like this" (and I'm presuming "like this" means a modern day, expensive, performance car, probably with a certain badge and/or image) ?
