Default New exhaust...

Had my MK4 Mondeo a year now and touch wood has been impecably reliable! I have done 20,000miles in it and it hasen't missed a beat!
Last MOT showed up "Minor leak of exhaust gasses" A quick gander under the car revealed...

Really not acceptable for a 4 year old car, but with Ford asking for £660 in parts alone I decided to go down the stainless route

I booked it in to Prospeed in Cardiff and took it down yesterday. I booked it in for a Decat and CATback system.
Guy who runs Prospeed is a South African bloke called Charlie. Met him a few times when having minor work done on the Focus, always a good laugh!

I turned up and the garage was open, few people working there but no sign of Charlie. Started having a nose at the tailpipes and seeing what would look good on my car.
Charlie turned up out of nowhere while I was holding up a Twin, Slash cut tailpipe and said "Ahh, you can't have that mate it will look shit"

He reccomended a Miltek style 5x3" oval. I nervously told him "Hmm go on them" and glad I did!
I turned up about 3pm just as he was finishing. He even gave me a little curtsey when he finished

Just phoned up my insurance who charged me an extra 28p... oh and a £17.50 admin charge

Must say I do think it suits the car down to the ground!
Lovely burble 2-3k under load! Turns into a throaty bellow above 3k. Yet under normal conditions you cannot hear a thing!
To top it off the turbo speeds far quicker and seems to be a little better on fuel too, but hard to tell because I keep booting it

I actually think it looks very good, I was worried it would be too big!

It cost me £350, ford wanted £660 in parts alone.

Just sneakily ordered a set of Eibach Pro Sportline 30mm lowering springs for it
