Default My Focus RS bought mid November.

Here's a few photos of my RS that i picked up in November but have only just downloaded the photos off my other halfs camera.
As far as i am aware it is standard apart from a Forge actuator, a Spec-R header tank that i am swapping back to standard as i'm not a fan of bling under the bonnet and the exhaust which i'm not sure what make it is as i haven't had a chance to get under the car to check. Is there any easy way of telling if it has been re-mapped or what map it is running? It's got 53,000 miles on it and is spotless inside and out or it was until i got it filthy today on single track country roads

Got to give huge thanks to my mate Craig (username Butch on here) for checking it all over for me and giving it a clean bill of health and also for stopping me from buying another one that i looked at which he found a lot wrong with.

Do you think it would look better with a front splitter and if so who's can you recommend?

Front splitters do look good.

Carparts express is the place/man to speak too. Very helpful and knows his stuff.

Here's mine with front splitter

Thanks for the replies guys, looks like a splitter has got to go on my shopping list. I also want to get one of the small RS badges for the front grill as shown on your car Andy (by the way Andy, is that another MK1 RS or the one you sold a few weeks back?). Apparently they are the badge that goes on the door pillar but from what i can gather they are no longer available - looks like i'll just have to keep looking on Ebay.

Glenn you can pick them up cheaply but the good ones are still holding their value and now people are starting to realise how good they are i don't think the decent ones will drop much lower than current prices.

Yes mate it's a different one. Other one went a month ago or 2. My Rs badge is the big one but I'm going to remove it I think anyway.

Do you think they will start going up in value? Maybe they will be like the modern RS500, which used to change hands for pennies.

Hi Mat, I thought i may be a blue flame. Once i get a chance to get under it i will have a look, do manufacturers normally put their name on them in any way?

I don't really know Richie as i'm certainly no expert on car trends but when i was looking i noticed that all of the better ones were £7.5 - £8k upwards whereas anything below this tended to need money spending on them.

No pics yet mate as it's still on the car but when i take it off i will take some photos and probably put it up for sale on either here or Ebay.

These have really grown on me, think they have come down to tempting money for something fun, not common and pretty tough. I think the snotters and high milers will keep dropping but the nice examples will do well or head back up in value as they get further and fewer between. Will be like any RS i guess, the rarer they get, the more money the good ones are worth.

I think you are confusing me with Staffi. As far as i know from his recent posts he still has his white Evo, he has posted on this thread so he might come back on to confirm he still has it mate.

Thanks for the input lads, looks like the splitter needs to go on my list of things to do. Are they straight forward to fit? If possible i'd prefer not to be drilling holes in the car, or do they utilise fasteners that already hold something else on to the underside of the bumper?

Anybody on here ever used these splitters from this company and if so are they any good? Does £54.99 sound too cheap or about right?

Not sure if they still do them on Ebay but i bought one for mine a few years back off there, someone was making them and they were only about £40 then so your price sounds about right.

Car looks a nice one mate Spltter deffo makes the front ed look better imo
