You can, I think they are made by MS design, problem is they are very weak and crack or bend easily which is why they aren't very popular. The S-Max does have bigger versions too which I think some have fitted.

Yeah, as said, you can get bigger versions of the standard wheels but they're really weak, our accountant at work had an s max with 20" ones on and he fucked about 4 wheels on it! Wouldn't fancy paying for tyres either lol

Bet you can't wait to get the cossie done tho hey

I know what you mean mate, you know what it's like when you set heart on something though! Lol!

I've just always fancied something with a V8 in it!

I will get an ST at some stage though.

I'm am looking forward to getting the cossie done and I'm not if that makes sense?!!

I'm looking forward to it as I ain't driven the fucker for over 3 years and it'll be nice to actually see all the money, time and effort pay off!

I'm just a little bit nervous about what the engine is going be like as I don't trust it but as Tony said to me, we'll just have to see how it pans out.

Thanks mate

I was a bit unsure when I bought the wheels tbh, but it looks loads better than I imagined thankfully, just needs some spacers and non yellow calipers lol.

The special paint finish on them doesn't really help mate. Spacers will finish it off nicely.

What's people's thoughts on these side stripes?

http://www.dmb.uk.com/prod/1051/focu...ide-stripe-kit

You can get them with ST on instead of RS, I'm not normally a lover of this kind of thing but I quite like them for some reason.

Or these Mountune ones?

http://www.mountunestore.com/Product...nd-side-splash

Or should I leave it as it is?

Tbh mate I was pretty much set on having that shell I told you about but I've had to say no cos its looking like i'm gonna lose the use of my mum's garage because she's not well and becoming less and less able to look after herself. Have considered selling the lot and having a vw camper lol.

Thanks James, can't see my mum improving any time soon tbh so That's probably what'll happen, scrap the shell, sell all the Sapph specific stuff and store the rest, then look for a 3dr shell or like I say, become a hippy lol

Hiya Matt, Haha, yes it does seem that way mate!

It will probably stay as it is tbh, one of the previous owners sent me some pics of when he had it with side stripes and 19" BBS 's on, looked great which is what got me thinking lol.

To be fair, it doesn't look too bad with the stripes, however I still think it's better without. A friend of mine bought a new white one a few years back with red stripes on the sides and over the top, looked fucking hideous lol

Going to push mine out the garage this weekend and get cracked on with it, want to have all the little jobs I want done on it by the time the warmer weather is here, and there's lots to do!

Yeah I think I prefer it with the stripes if I'm honest, I definitely wouldn't be having them over the bonnet and roof lol.

I'm not sure if its the wheels that help it carry off the stripes though because I've seen pics of it with the standard wheels and stripes and it doesn't look so good lol.

What jobs have you got to do mate?
