Default My new RS

Decided to go for a mk1 focus Rs.

Set of to pick it up at 6am from Cardiff yesterday, then set of to Leicester to get to the 10th anniversary meet. Then home. 13 hours on the road and 500 miles done.

Took the car out for a blast last night and I did find it a bit more exhilarating than the mk2. Not as refined but that's what I like. It's more of a drivers car and not predictable

It's approx 280 horse at the moment but thinking with a few more mods it may be 330.

It's number 4501 of 4501 so quite a find.

Anyway here it is,

Plan to change wheels, back to silver, or a set of pro race 1.2's in gloss black. I've put 2 pics up to show.
Also undecided on the st170 lights but we'll see.

Quick pics.

Number 1 & 4501

Few examples of my thoughts on what to do.

Keep that 3 door btw you tart!

Regarding oz mags, yes I agree. I have some on the escort, well monte rims, they'll slip straight on with a 20mm spacer

Andy at 330 or a tad more... They are wicked corners get so fast and the feel is there filled with confidence.... Loved my old one at around that power before a went more and ruined it.....

The 3dr might be stopping mate... The wife's on my case saying don't sell lol.

i like the car as-is to be honest

std rims, yes........white.......... actually yes! but anthracite would compliment the lights no end

always had a soft spot for these since we had a few in to break when they were nearly new, "propper" RS even if they are FWD!

massive engineering went into these and they are a tuner part catalogue porn fest!

cracking, every cossie owner needs to own one at some point IMO

AJC, so de-tango the indicators in the lights, and fit smoked lenses in the bumpers!

or paint the standard mk1 lights and use the indicators in the bumper maby?

plenty options available

Matt, words cannot describe right! Not gonna set the world on fire but pure bred RS, well fun! no other words really.
Dont forget Ford spent fortunes on the T190/T250 development cars with pectel managment, big brakes (with std chopped hubs) etc, these cars are the real deal, and maby the most pure bred developed RS to date, if im to stick my neck out?!

Sean. I'm thinking the standard lights smoked would look better but god knows how to do that! Lol. I'll end up breaking them.
But thank you for your input. All taken on board

Ive never looked back at giving mine up for a mk1 and 3dr... Nothing wrong with the mk2 as its a wicked car..!... But I just wanted a bit more raw car.. With only being 29... I will have another no doubt in the future.
