Hey guys,



Some of you know i work at the Ford R&D Technical Centre in Dunton, Essex.

As you can imagine im one of a few hundred car mad petrolheads working there every day. Many of which like me have their own ideas of motoring nirvana of all shapes and sizes. Some are modern performance cars, other classic sports cars, kits car, projects, 2 wheels & four... and anything inbetween.



Every year Dunton puts on a special day for all us petrolheads working there, and closes its test track to allow us to display our cars, bikes and projects for everyone to see.



Vehicles are split into categories and then there is a panel of judges to award the top cars of each category, mine for example was "Worldwide cars post 1980". Judges are Ford CEOs, managers and sometimes WRC drivers lol.



364 days of the year cameras are strictly prohibited on site due to the nature of vehicle design, but during the enthusiasts day we're allowed to take snaps.



Here are some to share with you that a friend took and some quickies from my iphone.

Amazingly i won my class of which i was rather pleased about.



Anyway, heres a handful of snaps from some of kit on display. We all had a great day.

Lol, the trophy was a scale steering wheel mounted to a plaque. I managed to break it by knocking off the steering wheel... Ooops

So decided to fit my own.

Love that mk3 escort estate.

That mk 3 was saved from the scrapper for Ł250.
Good polish and a wheel refurb later and look at the little gem it's become.

Looks like it was a good event. Its nice to see so many petrolheads working for Ford, regardless of what marque you follow exactly.
