Just got back from Thailand, know there is quite a few people with tatts on here.

Buddha was done last year by the same artist.

Yet, you did. Hey, I recommend Tesco next time

Sorry mate, just had to deal with loads of people who've had severely infected arms and legs over the years at hospitals as a result of tattoo's from foreign countries. Not to mention the amount of implant procedures their "surgeons" undertake at a fraction of the U.K's prices that we have to correct Some even loose limbs! Just not worth it...

Not sure what you mean there. I had a pal that had had over 15hours of work done on his leg from this artist. So I was well aware of this artists quality and proceedures. Had it done less than 2 weeks ago and is now more or less fully healed.

I know where you are coming from though but infections are normally caused by poor care after tattooing and not checking the artist follows the correct procedures and takes the necessary precautions.

As above mate, it's poor hygiene standards that effect tattoo and medical procedures in countries like that. Can easily say that infections are in the high 90 percentile when they return and rely on the good old NHS to correct their retarded decisions, just for the sake of saving a few quid.

But if you're happy with it and done your homework on the establishment, then good for you. I've just dealt with too much to trust anyone who don't have the same standards of those in the EU.

fair play to you if your religion means that much to you you need to get symbols permanently etched into your skin.

Im going to thailand in jan so might be a bit cheaper over there

I bet they have been doing tattoos in places like thailand long before the monkeys over here were.

Really, did you not just read my posts? Christ how dilusional the British public have become! But then again you get them done in this country, so a little hypocritical...

Was done on Koh Phangan. If your on facebook search Tattoo club koh phangan. A majority of the locals I spoke to with tattoos go there.

There are 1000's of tattooists in Thailand, its just whether you want to go into somewhere without knowing what their work is like.

Mine cost me Ł140 for a 4 hour sitting (in 35 degree heat!) so quite a bit cheaper than the UK.

They're probably ignoring you because your self important posts seem to insinuate that EVERY foreign tattoo artist will give you problems, whereas what is happening in the real world is that thousands of foreign artists are in fact very good and legit but the odds of someone booking an appointment with the nhs to show off a good tattoo are pretty slim, so of course you see the bad ones!

Well said, I had one done in the UK and the two I have done in Thailand are of much better quality.

Obviously there are chances of getting infections from foreign tattooists but there is also a chance you could get an infection from a UK tattooist.

I'm booked in for my first tattoo on 16th July, been considering getting something done for years and years. Our daughter was born in Feb so im getting her footprints at 1 month old put on the inside of my forearm... I have no idea what to expect from the experience and felt realyl out of place walking in as a "newbie", but I get the feeling that once I've had one it'll become very addictive!

I found that my first time was less painful than the second and third due to the adrenaline rush of getting your first tatt, outline doesn't hurt that much but shading hurts more.

Is addictive though I said I would only get one!

Great tatts, not easy to find artists who can pull off the brush stroke look with so much detail...

Been getting my chest & half sleeves done last year or so, debated a lot on a Buddha head but went with a Pharoah.

You don't need to be Buddhist to get a Buddha tattoo FFS , it's symbolic. How many people do you see with the swallows who've never done a days bird?

Nice tattoo mate

I've got my back done with 2 big dragons
My sons name tearing through my fore arm
My wife's name on the back of my fore arm ( got to get a floral pattern with hearts and other shit to finish it off )
My daughters name on the same side but covering my shoulder with daisy flowers and feligerfey ( spelling) around it. ( her name is daisy hence the Daisy's )

Most of the arm is covered but got a fair bit more to go then the other arm needs covering
