hello.. just got some amber sides and fronts to replace the clear ones as they look so nice on other peoples but not sure .. what do people thing clear or amber?

im thinking that too.. although maybe the crap pic from my fone as i saved a pic on here of another magenta one with ambers and it looks awesome..
ill try take another pic later once the sun is off it as the phone wont ever take a nice pic with the light on it..

It looks great with either in tbh mate but I think the ambers just brighten the car up personally, lovely car whatever you decide anyway!

im not sure on the rears but id give them a try.. only problem is ive got the holes for the middle plastic on the back pannel.. maybe if it has to be painted at any time ill have them removed.. just want to use the bloody thing now. need some spare time..

mines the same as its a 4x4 it has the holes in the rear panel i would love to put ambers on mine

15 years ago we all took our Ambers off because it was considered naff & clears were the nuts. Now we have to take off the clears & replace with ambers because they are the nuts .

Its like hair styles & footballers shorts an ever changeing fad. Dont throw the clears away as we all did the ambers back then .

while im slagging the phone off ive just realised that ive not taken the clear plastic cover off the back yet and its over the camera lens so maybe thats why its looking dull..

This is exactly what I have been thinking for a couple of years now.

I think if the car originally came with ambers then it probably should have ambers all round.

If it came with clears and smoked rears then that's how it should be.

But at the end of the day it's an individual choice, and anyway they all look good regardless.

they do look nice on the dark colour too. i just werent sure on the magenta and orange but i saw one on here a while ago that looked good... wouldnt mind trying the wheels in gold but think im a bit too old for that.. just get bored of it looking the same ..

Ambers for me,mine got swopped about untill I settled on smoked rear and ambers front.I never got used to the coloured on the rear of mine.With yours my choice would be the full set if you have no number plate surround

I personally think that ambers are top choice for Gloss Black, Diamond White, Mercury/Flint grey, Radiant red, Moonstone/Crystal blue. They're also good for Magenta/Noveau red. I myself happen to have Moondust silver one which, in my opinion, wouldn't look good with ambers so its with smoked/clears.

id never take the ambers off mine as its rwd and what its meant to have but to me they look odd with 4x4 rear lights and bonnet!

Thanks for the comments. I think I like them so I'll keep them on.
I do like the original look to a degree . I hated the fogs and won't be needing them anyway . I had the middle bar chopped out and the backs of the fogs. Plus it's just more glass to get stone chips on.
Vented bonnets look far better than the std 2wd to me.

Thanks again for all the comments. Yea they just wheel chocks as its parked up for long periods I don't like using the handbrake . Just hoping I Get time to use it a bit this year . Driven like a granny from now on tho as will have a kiddie seat in.
Giles I hear you have brought another ornament. Saw some pics it looks very nice. I hope I never see it as it will make me want one even more.

Ornament lol wasn't the plan but still want it up to scratch I will pop up when I get it back from the paint shop. Realy am happy with it I thought all that power through the front wheels would be silly but it's surprising how well it works
