Fiesta STyle 5door
Hi guys,
Thought i might aswell stick up a few pics of my project..
Not as old school an most on here, and lacks a turbo, so will see how it goes down!
Car started as a 2006 Fiesta Style 1.4 5door..
Did a fair bit of cosmetic modifying..
Decided that 78bhp wasn't quite cutting it..
Got some nuts!
No turning back now!!
Not long later and this was the sight..
2l Duratec (18k miles)
Cosworth 200spec Cams
60mm Throttle Body
Mountune CAIS
Full Milltek Exhaust
~192bhp 165ft/lb
Have done a bit more since then but my computer keeps freezing so will stick that lot up later..
Comments & Criticism always welcome
Cheers,
Rob

Thanks lads!
Ben - had to do it myself mate.. Its an absolute ballache but imo changes the front end completely.. The grey inside the lights just doesn't look angry! ha
Dan - no. The sport models are only available in 3dr, so that is what sets mine apart.. Can't explain the fun i had at the lights against a standard st.. He saw my car, assumed it was a 1.2/1.4 laughed to himself, and got ready to beat me.. Lights turned amber and i was gone.. The look on his face when we pulled up again was priceless.. He asked me what the hell it was.. Told him very casually 'it's a 5 door mate,' and drove off making this face
I get why people aren't fans of the 5 door.. But i know every nut and bolt on this car and have changed most things from ground up, so only makes sense that this is the project car..
If i had a 3dr, i would have sold it and bought a mk2 fiesta and stuck the engine in there i think.. That's the plan for the next project anyway..
Also 5 doors + 3dr tilt seats in the front = plenty of space in the back for entertaining the ladies

^^ got that right
Have now come across a problem.. My power steering pump is in the way and wont allow me to fit the new mod..
Anyone know if another pas pump will fit on the duratec..? Probably only need 2-3mm clearance but not sure if there is anything out there, and dont want to run no power steering
Cheers,
Rob

Nonoo its the actual pump itself that is causing the issues..
I got one of those kits for £30
Cheers for the reply though
Anyone else got any thoughts..?
The obvious issue is that the pump is driven off the aux belt, so cant really be relocated

Hahaa i do the same.. this may help..
Pump on the left, can see it is touching..
This shows how much it needs to shift across to fit.. Don't think shaving it down is an option, although i have had a go! ahaa
Bummer

So got the Omex600 fitted and working in the end, and it was all for this...
Not a very common mod for these cars due to all of the electrics, but it was bloody worth it!!
Will get vids up when i can, but heres a couple of external pics from a clean..
Not the biggest power house on here by any means, but when mapped it should see at least 200bhp N/A which isn't bad for a 5 door.. And more to come over winter!
Hope you like
Cheers,
Rob

DUDE I LOVE YOUR CAR. Im not one for following the crowd like yourself so around 5-6 years ago after i took a Fez out for a test drive i wanted to do similar to what you have but a ST rep with the engine to match. That plan fell through and i ended up getting a van lol

Thanks alot mate, massive compliment!!
I do love that noone expects it to have a bit of grunt and the look on their face in my rearview
You're not far from me either.. I should be at a couple of the PF Watford meets in the new year when the weather clears up so would be happy to take you for a spin if you fancied..
Couple more pics of the throttle bodies..
And just one from the other day..
