Or rite I see lol. I mailed Norris motorsport just looking for any pointers on there build as I've not done anything to this spec this before but no reply. I've a totally mint ti rolling shell which I bought recently from a guy who stripped it in 1987 painted it and put it in his dads garage and it never saw the light of day until I bought it. I have a saph from which the engine and box is coming from and just bought a mount kit, just been debating the last few days where to cut the bulkhead to fit the block/sump I've got lying about but your picture is the best view I've seen of one yet. My concern was the exhaust/steering linkage too.

Wes,
It's a short stroke engine obviously built with bespoke parts, girdled block, unique sump and oil system, big valve n/a spec head with full race spec solid lifter cams, custom manifolds, GTX35 turbo etc etc. It's quite a unique engine to be fair so not a lot of point in giving specific details because they would'nt be much use to anyone. (Like the cams are 296 duration but you just would'nt use that in anything other than a drag engine!). It's also got an intercooler, charge cooler and water injection controlling charge temps, as well as transmission, and fuel laminova coolers.
The bottom line is the engine has a 9500rpm limit and runs 2.9bar of boost on its highest setting which it holds to the 9500rpm limiter. As you can imagine that is quite a substantial amount of power but I always tell people its got 600bhp as people believe that!
Generally though its usually running around 2.3 - 2.5 bar as it gets very difficult to lay the power down at higher boost. Sunday at the pod we ran 2 bar to get a terminal speed of 138mph. At higher boost it can exceed 150mph on the qtr but we have to switch to drag tyres to use the power.
Langer, Im affriad we get too many emails to reply to most. Especially regarding the sunbeam as it would take me such a long time to even begin to explain what we have done to the car. Our car is pretty much all bespoke and thus will have no resemblance of the parts you'll be using (i.e. a donar sierra cosworth) so anything we've done won't be of much help to you. You'll have to use good engineering knowledge and just get in there and work it all out! Good luck!
