Show us yer crash....
Ill start.
not long back in from Gloucester royal hospital after what had started out as a good days riding.
after coming off my bike in black ice twice last week i invested in a new lid last week to the tune of £70 (reduced from £100)
anyway, i made a joke about not trying it out today and that fact i dont like hospital food - jinxed fromt he start lol
about 8.2 miles into the ride we were on a road section and there was a massive hill, so naturally i fucking nailed it untill top gear was having no effect so tucked in as you do, sailed past the other two guys i was with as i thought the hill went down, then straight back up so i was getting up some speed i clocked just over 40mph... until the 90 degree right hander caught me a tad by surprise. the road was wet/slightly muddy and as i touched the rear brake that was it...
down onto my right side, knee hit the floor followed by chin/face, my left foot unclipped from the bike while my right didnt... as i rolled over onto my head/left shoulder the bike came with and only detached after a breif stint downt he road on the other side of my head lol...
i ended up in a heap and knew something was fucked lol.
one mate went off to a house we were near as we had no phone signal and they phoned an ambulance for me... they tuned up said if i could put weight on my foot it wasnt broken. i coulndt put my full weight on it as it hurt to much, but it didnt swell much so we just thought it was sprained. but they took me in to have my chin sorted out as there was a flap of skin hanging off
oh and ive torn the tendons etc on my ankle
sat in the waiting room of the hospital a good 2.5 hours at least before even getting seen to. then it was about another hour to be treated/plastered up.
fair play to the hospital tho as they were very busy, several rugby players with neck injusrys turned up and one lad with his finger pointing the way it shouldnt lol.
anyway, heres some x-rays
bit of bone at the bottom rear part omy leg has come away, this is the bit that might need to be wired
and the bit ont he right at the bottom of my leg has broke off.
not massive injuries i know, but my left shoulder is bruised/gravvel rashed, both wrists have taken a whack and makes using the crutches hard, and i have some other bruising/gravel rash on elbows/knees etc.
and to top it off, i need anotehr new lid still, it done its job again 
ill try and get some pics of my face up if i can, as while i was bleeding on the road my mates in between laughing managed to get a couple of pics on the phone..
moral to the stoy tho is wear a fucking helmet ont he road! thats twice in just over a week ive needed mine!

ha, 5 mins after i got in the waiting room some guy was brought in that had just off his k4 gixxer thou on the sainsburys roundabout in glos. almost identical injurys to me but he had a full face lid on, and only broke his ankle in 1 place lol.

I had a near miss on my Bike (pushbike) the other week. Did a quick romp down a massive hill between 2 fields, easily 35-40mph, and I never wear a Lid.
About 10 mins after that, me and my mate were riding about 3mph, just having a chat when all of a sudden I though I had a blow out. Looked down and saw that the tyre had just fallen off the rim!
Tried to put it back on 3 or 4 times but it kept popping off. Just really really glad it didn't happen whilst bombing down the hill as it would have been a different outcome for sure!
By the way, I haven't used the bike since, and I don't intend to, until i get a lid!

ps i was on a mountain bike lol
bike is at mates missus' mums house at the mo.
ive not looked yet bt visible damage is fooked rh grip, snapped wire for the computer, scuffed seat and possible fooked rear mech as it was full of mud/grass.
so bike got off fairly lightly i think.

that foot riminds me of my old injury, showing off pulling wheelies on my old xr400 fliped it with a mate on the back the foot peg went in under my ankle bone. i was sat im my sisters house having been discharged and i could see my foot splitting with swelling hurt like a coont for months. still have scars and a clicky ankle.

yes it was a good one ha ha heres a pic of the x ray after it was plated ans i have broke it again since,even with the plates in.my specialist surgeon loves me ha ha 
but heres a couple of a mates crash.

my NSR after a bloke pulled out on me and i hit two cars and a tree.. suffered a fractured elbow!
ended up with a cat C bike and being breathilsed in Cheltenham general hospital.. the driver took full responsibility and has learnt to look for bikes!

ive had some nasty bike crashs(push bike) raced bmx up until 2010 and split my splien and damaged my kidney,that was anoth for me.cant show the inside damage but heres a few,il get more up of broken arm/ankle and collar bone tomoz.gota take pics of xrays first.
