Its gutting, there's nothing like a 2.4!
Although they have fucked the wording up, it states an engine may be fitted that is no larger than the largest original capacity available in that model plus a 50 thou bore. So escort, 2l.
However, it doesn't mention makes......how many red top and honda escort's will emerge this year, do we think?

I know of one in build (honda engine), and a a couple of the crews running 2.2 pintos have tried getting around it by buying talbot sunbeams, but the regs then say on some events that you must keep the crank standard to the block, so its no longer possible to get around it that way. Its a shame, nothing like a full on 2.4, so impressive to watch in the right hands
