1 rescue dog saved from death....
Meet Kieda, she is a 5 year old Jack Russel.
After the passing of our awsome Ridgeback Lilly the house felt empty.
We were told about a JRT from my sisters friend who works in the dog pound, she told us she was shy and unforunatly due to space and £££ she would be put to sleep if a home could not be found (not sure if this is 100% true).
Well today my mother decided she had to have her as it would be good company.
Kieda has had 2 owners, the 1st ones I am unsure about but the 2nd owner was en elderly person who had to go into a home. Unfortunatly this meant she had to be rehomed.
She seems nice natured, bit to beggy with food. Hopefully this will deteriorate over time.
Her basic commands are good for a JRT, basic sit, paw and stop while on a lead are good. As she is a rescue dog we were unsure on her potty training.
Good news is she goes to the door when she needs the loo!
Details of where she was from below...

Good on you and I only wish there were more like you and less of the LETS GO BY A PUPPY brigade.
The wife and I have fostered in excess of 50 dogs over the last 3 years whilst finding permanent homes for all but 2 of them, they both stayed here.
Sadly my White German Shepard Sky had to be put to sleep after finding out she was riddled with cancer , but our Westie Missy is doing very well and has been here for 4 years now. We have had all sorts in the time we have been fostering, Dobermans, Shepards, Huskys, Terriers of all shapes and sizes and our latest an 8 week old Chihuahua found a new home just yesterday.
It's mum is still with us while we clear up a nasty water infection she has.
We have recently been running our own makeshift rabbit rescue after being asked for help by a woman that had gotten herself into a bit of a pickle.
We managed to re-home 48 of her rabbits and got a vet to neuter her remaining ones.

Great news
It honestly realy gets my upset when i think about how many dogs get put to sleep due to lack of a few quid to keep them alive until a home can be found
I never go to these places or click links as i simply would take all of them home
Smashing little dog that im sure will fill that MASSIVE hole left after your Lilly sadly left you

Bless, looks a lovely little mut. Couple of years back my sister was at a friends place and they had a lovely little dog and were treating it like crap.
She was so angry she told them she was taking it off them and they said they didnt care and didnt want it. She called me and said did i know anyone who wanted her (the dog lol!) and i had the perfect person, the mother in law, her dog had died the year before and so after chatting to her, we dropped it off for a trial nights stay.
Ethel is still with her (Ethal, what a name!)She is a brilliant dog, always happy to see you, so full of life, loves being outside and when she comes in she waits to have her paws cleaned and her towel, and when it is time for a walk, waits patiently while you put her body harness on.
So good to know she has the home she deserves, not some home where she is a pain in the ass and constantly threatened and screamed it!

It can be hard letting them go sometimes, we had a 9 year old Dobbie bitch for 9 months and it broke my heart when she finally found a home, however I receive regular updates and pics of her progress and I don't think she could be happier.

brilliant mate, more people should definately do this! we rehomed a whippit years ago and he was honestly the best dog we could have asked for,he was so timid and soft, had definately been mistreated but with plenty of love and affection he soon came out his shell,we got him when he was around 8 and he lived to 18! next dog we get will be a rescue dog too, they all deserve a chance!
