Default Replacement for the cossie

Gone from a 1990 stage 1 4wd saph cos:

To a special edition 2004 2.2 Titanium X (exact same spec as ST TDCi):

It's absolutely mint and came from the factory with full ST bodykit and ST sport suspension, 18 inch 7 spokes, leather and alcantara electric seats, colour DVD head unit and satnav, Thatcham CAT 1 and all of the other ST extras.

It's obviously no where near cossie speed but not really that slow either at 155 bhp and 295 lbft. The 6 speed box is great and it pulls like a train. The best thing is it will do over 60 mpg on the motorway and stills averages 50 mpg in suburban driving. Seeing the fuel range on the computer at 600 miles on fill up is worth losing a bit of performance. The missus even loves it and she hated the cossie.

However, the number one best thing about this car is it will go over speed bumps - no more having to plan my route to avoid the bloody things.

The cossie was great but at 37 with another kid on the way the draw of 7 airbags and a high NCAP rating has finally caught up with me!

Looks nice mate, bet the fuel savings won't go a miss either, did the Cosworth go to a good home?

Probably will to be honest as never really drove it much. Still love cossies though so may not actually be able to do it when the times comes.

That's great plus you got to keep the cossie!

I'm looking for a new daily driver but because I've already got 2 useable cars (Impreza & M3) and my wife has another she has the right arse with the fact I'll have 3 cars at the house
