I really like the car - had a look around the car at Ford Fair 2009 and it is a really nice car with some custom touches under the bonnet.
I must say for me it wearing 18" rear and 17" front Hocks was different and looked awesome - not really a lover of Image splits but still good car even with 4x4

Lovely car in my opinion, one of those thats been around for-ever (not in a bad way) that everyone knows of.
As for the 4x4 i guess it certainly makes sense with 600odd bhp on tap, and lets be honest, its not altered the way it looks, it still looks as good as a three door does, so thats a winner in my book

personally, i prefer RWD to 4x4, but its your car, and upto you what you wish to do it, nothing to do with me. if you want to set it on fire to keep your hands warm, its not my place to say your wrong.

was this car owed by a guy in n ireland for a short time, maybe 3 or 4 years ago??
i remember lookin at a 3 door that was for sale and had been featured in one of the mags , i think it had a t66 turbo or something on it,
last i heard it went back to england

i love the new rims but iconic on the hocks good to have a change apart from the 4x4 love all the changes but each to their own. Can always be put back.
the fast ford blue moonstone was another car and the ireland car was k500 cos i think and that was also featured

4x4 is a good touch nout wrong with wanting to put some power down
and make it more planted and safe
this has to be the most iconic 3 door
used to read about this car 14 or so years ago and still big out there and always will be
keep it strong and never pull it a part

This is my favourite car EVER!
it is legendary as its been around since the big power boys first started,it was 500bhp when very few were,it ALWAYS turned up to top speed and 1/4 mile events and ran in the top 1 or 2 cars(some cars never turned up,others claimed huge power or top speeds, then got trounced by the 2wd 500bhp cossie and their claims quickly changed to "oh we're not running full boost today")
alongside the huge power and consistent times (think about it,how many cars even now can do 178 mph), the car looks absolutely spot on,really nicely looked after, subtle exterior mods,a well presented show standard engine bay and a proper full leather interior as its a ROAD car,it has never pretended to be a race car, making its stats even more impressive to me.
i still have the old max power video it went to a runway on,it went up against several big power (later claiming the usual not full boost shit) 300zx#s, a 500 plus bhp r32 skyline, the twin 16v nitrous engined mk1 golf, the norris designs 200sx and a couple of others, these were all big hitters back in the day. D752 ELE narrowly missed out on the 0-60 due to 2wd,and beat EVERYTHING else in both 0-100mph and top speed.
so in essence its a no nonsense, proper road car that delivers time and time again, not set up for any one specific task, its an all rounder that would be comfortable, yet blast past just about any car on the road, even today!
LEGENDARY!

so back in the days this was the only cosworth that had polished alu parts under the bonnet..

i was about to ask what makes this car so 'legendary' as i genuinly dont/didnt know. sure iv heard all about it etc, but have never been told whats what.
i grew up in neston, not far from melksham and have never seen it, i dont even think ive seen it at a show lol.
but if cossyking decides to take it out one day, please let me know as i would love to have a butchers! i now live near swindon, but over that way to see the parents often etc
