I would have thought it was either damaged but couldn't be seen and the plastic freezing has exacerbated it, or it's been hit whilst it was frozen and therefore brittle ?

mondeos are famous for chocolate bumper though aren't they?
if it was a brand spanking perfect new freshly painted bumper someone has whacked it
however if it had previous minor damage or a repair then yes this cold could contribute to making it worse or exposing a previous repair

They are very brittle, I had the last one repaired twice as I caught it on the kerb whilst driving away forgetting how low it is on the arse end.

Then only had this one fitted inearly Augast so this is in need of repair now.

One thing I suppose is the fixings on the rear quater are still in once pice as thats what usualy breaks off first.

Fuckin bumper!!! lol

Could you not just take it back to where you had it painted and see what they say. They might repair it for free.

Na, was me mate Kev who fitted and painted it. I have text him about quote to fix crack just waiting on him to get back to me.

Wont be till new year now though and with the amount of total and utter idiots on the road in Birmingham I'll be lucky if some one don't smash into it before then lol

where the snow is on the back bumper is where it is cracked

I think it maybe lowered also as seems lower than other ST200's I have seen, but had it over 3 years now and not modded it at all.
