Dugg my old "super tuff burner" from the back of the garage the other day. Needs a bit of tlc though. I think I got it when I was about 6. Would never let my folks throw it out.

Lovin the Kelloggs reflectors on the spokes. I remember those..
My first thought is that they were Frosties (Tony the Tiger) but they look like Chickens off the Cornflakes pack in the pics. I obviosuly don't rmember them well enough and I had loads of the bloody things. Used to fight my brother and sister for them. lol

Nice thread, totally rad
Started on a blue raleigh Boxer, then had the obligatory Grifter in silver, it cost £80 from Halfords . When the BMX craze came here I grabbed hold with both hands and became quite a competent free styler. started with a super tuff Burner in gold and black then saved up hard for a Skyway TA to then be followed by a GT performer.

From: Essex... and Birmingham!
what was the best Raleigh burner they did?
I had a poo one, but would love to know what were the best ones with pics etc etc
trying to find an uber mint skyway now on ebay to buy. getting old is poo... apart from having the money to buy all the things you really wanted and never got as a kid!
not having much luck. I remember the I wanted being white with mags and some blue and red bits

What a great thread.. Exactly my era.
Makes me want to go out and buy a bmx and do the cherry picker and some bunny hops.
I remember having a bmx back in the day.. Cant for the life of me remember what it was called, but it was blue and white ( I think ) but had the rota thing on it so the handlebars could spin 360 without trapping the brake cables. Oh, I do remember having stunt nuts and tange grips.
Does anyone else remember watching 80's TV and they use to have a bmx show with that bloke called Andy something who would do all the stunts.

Some proper old school stuff here.
Great thread
I had a Raleigh burner as a kid and was very jealous of Skyways and some of the other BMX's i have seen on this thread.
As i got a bit older i had Mongooses and Diamond backs which i did up with GT stuntpegs, seat 'n stuff like that. My first taste of modifiying i guess.
Cool thread though, love it.

I see a pick-up around with the plate BMX 1T, still owned by Craig Schofield apparently.
