Nice!
I had one a few years ago, loved it. I've never had a car that attracts so much attention as well, had numerous people coming up to me asking about it when parking somewhere.
You always get the muppets on the net saying a 172/182 is faster, blah, blah. What they don't grasp is the whole ownership feel of the car, it's not all about 0 to fookin 60.
Would love a supercharged one, be interested to see any other conversions done (if anyone has a link?)
The YouTube one there looks horrendous from the outside.

The Mid Engined V6 has the ability to put down all it's power the moment the clutch is let out, the front wheel drive cars are left spinning their wheels.
Further up the speed scale, the power of the V6 continues to increase the gap.
As you say, the V6 wins in all tests.
As has been said over and over again, the V6 isn't all about 0 - 60 etc, it's about being different.
It's like saying a Vauxhall Astra VXR would beat a standard Metro 6R4 to 140mph............ Yes It Would.
But which would you rather have Astra, or 6R4. But you'll always get people who "Just don't get it"

Patronus
I chased one of these in our work Audi A5 quattro through some 'private lanes', the little fuckers go like stink ! i was surprised that i could hear it 'shouting' over the Audi's V8 too, the only thing i don't like about the clio though, is the front end. It just looks squashed to me !

Been quite a while since I've been online.......... Work, Job Changes, Life etc etc
But here's where I am now (Mid Life Crisis) Just bought my second Honda Fireblade......... The ultimate acceleration machine, and I could never have built a car that would accelerate like this does :
And it has a worthy garage mate to keep it company : My modified Audi Quattro B6 4.2Ltr V8. Rebuilt and Modified Engine, live mapped, Suspension, Brakes, Full Milltek Decatted Exhaust System and great fun.

Hello Jim,
So, what happened to to mid engined V6 Clio at the start of this thread?
"Collectability : Defnately........ In ten years time, the good ones will be selling for more than they were new...... I guarentee it. Rareity : Very rare"
Did you sell it, and if so why?

LOL....... They have character though, you just need to be a good mechanic to own one...........
Great memories of owning one of the best looking British built sports cars.
Anyway............... That's all in the past ..... LOL
This is the one I should never have sold..................

Yes, they certainly looked the part, they just needed another 100bhp and they'd be great. The Audi would leave it standing on performance and obviously handling. And the Cosworth would murder it.

Without going the supercharger route........ Which is available at USD 7k including everything you need, which when you take into account what you can spend on a cosworth there's not much difference, and that will give you 450bhp (Reliably), available from JHM Motorsports.
The only cheap route is the way I went with modified JHM inlet manifold, decat, and full Milltek System, JHM Stage 2 tune that will give you 380bhp ......... 35bhp over standard.

TAKEN FROM AN EARLIER POST.
In the tests the Mid Engined Clio V6 won in every test both acceleration, mid range acceleration and top end.......... but there wasn't much in it.
The Mid Engined V6 has the ability to put down all it's power the moment the clutch is let out, the front wheel drive cars are left spinning their wheels.
Further up the speed scale, the power of the V6 continues to increase the gap.
The V6 wins in all tests.
As has been said many times though, ownership of the the mid engined V6 isn't all about 0 - 60 etc, it's about being different.
It's like saying a Vauxhall Astra VXR would beat a standard Metro 6R4 to 140mph............ Yes It Would.
But which would you rather have Astra, or 6R4. You'll always get people who "Just don't get it"
