well, i gave mine the first long run,

we covered over 600 miles in a few days away,

on a run she returns almost 30mpg!

which i find fantastic for a 5 litre

average was around 28mpg for the trip, mainly motor way use

no oil used, no water used, just loves to cruise, and always ready to be abused!

Loving M5's, been looking at them a lot... Mate can get them for seriously cheap money through traders.

So tempted...

what exhaust system is good on these?

looking at the super sport one, it seems to only have one silencer, then a pipe over to the second exit, which is ghey imo

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-M5-E39-5-S...1%7C240%3A1318

the miltec one has two silencers

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Milltek-BMW-5-...1%7C240%3A1318

and sport cats

Ive got a Britalman one on mine which is cat back and has the Xpipe.Had it on 3 years and it still looks and sounds mint.
The weight saving is massive since the standard system is made from granite!

Went out for a play with a Modded R32 GTR and B7 RS4 last week and to say the M5 fared well is an understatment!

Pretty sure they do both delivered and fitted but as he is close he is having his fittted there AFAIK the exhaust would need cutting and the new one slips on over the top as per normal exhausts. So DIY is possible just need to cut in right place

Out of interest guys, do you know most of you have total closure?

Hold the ARM button for 6 seconds or so when you arm it and it closes the sunroof and windows.

If you want an exhaust I'd recommend an Eisenmann.

Not cheap, but you won't regret it!
