Default Waterless Valeting

Whats other folks thoughts on this ???

I bought a sample kit to try it so had a very quick bash on my own car just now ............only thing is you dont really get a good idea of it as my car is silver lol

Heres some quick piccies tho

It was a very quick going over and i wasnt really trying as it was too hot and 99% my microfibre cloths are in the washing machine lol

Whats folks thoughts on this stuff ??

Im undecided yet as its a silver car, could do with a black or dark blue colour for me to make my mind up, Certainly it can never replace water thats for sure what with grit etc etc

I know a few companys are using this and apparantly making fortunes but they are doing showroom cars thats fookin clean already ............all they do is keep on top of it with a spray over and wipe the dust off

Yeah it deffo cant be too dirty thats for sure .............still use quite a few cloths on the mondie.

Most motors will ideally need pre-power-rinsed but its meant to be a waterless job

Yep thats my van in the background ......... too big and doesnt work hard enough to warrent having it as folk just aint spending money on valeting at the mo compared to 3/4 months ago ...........looking at downsizing to a escort van that my mates got (escos wrc kitted, escoss alloys so its a head turner lol) and re-couping some of my money back as i funded the lot out my own dosh and have no debt whatsoever

Its not bad but im only part time as there aint enough work for me to leave my good paid job that pays the bills just now.

This stuff is meant to wash and polish the motor in one go

It has left a shine

Certainly saves time as they say and it will be fine on run of the mill jobs that the customer doesnt really care as long as its clean sorta customer but you know when a car is someones pride and joy you just couldnt use it in my opinion

the good old fashion way i think still the bestto be honest the car was far from dirty not meaning it bad but with a half decent wash and dry with a wax spay and that would take no longer than 15 mins and it would be just as good thats in my own opinion

Yep the whole lot is tits up at the mo

People grudge spending Ł25 for a mini valet

My full valet is Ł80...................im Ł20 cheaper than the rivals thats local and still cant please folk at times

They think a proper full valet can be done in 1-2 hours aswell ......... no chance

1-2 hours i spend that doing a standard wash/wheel clean on my own car, thats without doing anything extra.

People always want something for nothing.

Ł25 for a mini valet? whats that include? i just bought a share in a valeting place and they do a wash, wheel clean, tyre black, sills wiped, vac'd, inside window polish, wipe plastics and silicon spray mini valet for Ł15.

Do your full valets start at Ł80?

Full Valet on a car is Ł80 , Ł85 for a 4x4/mpv

But if a motor is very heavily soiled then it maye be a tad more

Some folk need to remember that when you are mobile it aint cheap running a van and generators etc and costs need to be covered, The ones that are static are more exspensive than me and they can get through more work obviously as you waste time traveling and setting up and packing away every time

I'd love premises but sadly thats just a no no with the rip of merchants in my area for rent

Seen his van kicking about in Edinburgh area ..................

Although thats the first praise i have heard as i deal with a 2/3 folk who they have done in the past

Fair play to them tho many hands make light work and another 2 hands should mean double the speed and half the time

1 of the them mentioned they did his car in 45 mins ...............a full valet inside and out with extra hands, cutting corners maybe ? or easy job

Not often you get an easy job tho

am not sayin whos better than who etc... but these too can work and are amazing at there job , all the cars av had them do have been covered in catty dust , polish compound etc as there usually just been resprayed and they bring them up like brand new and miss nothing , also get them to do some sales cars av had and they,re always sold to the first viewer imo you cant go wrong at that ,

what do u think of that waterless gear ? av used the spray on polish/wax before it was quite good stuff imo

and see that escort cosworth you were talking about in that other post its not near uphall/broxburn is it by any chance ?

Good to hear that tho cos when someone does get a wee slating its not just them that can suffer it can be all off us as we all get branded the same at times .................

I have a competeter very very local to me who has no interest in cars but he has a franchise and IS shit at it but obviously its a job for him .......folk like him give us all teh bad name cos folk will just say fuck it and buy cleaning stuff themselves from halfords etc and do it themselves

Im unsure on the waterless stuff just now as i want a black car or dark blue to use it on as silver hides to much lol, Fantastic job it did of the widscreen tho that i did notice lol.........basically i think its only suited to cars that actually seem clean anyway, good stuff fo flies gutz etc thats welded onto the bonnet/bumper

The escort cossie is from my area East Lothian buddy in the sticks lol
