Thought i'd post pics as a start, they're not the best. Hope they work.
ST is technically the wifes:

Just working on getting it all perfect inside and out before any mods. Got it last year and was reasonably cared for but the last owners idea of clean was different to mine(took me 5 hours to clean the wheels!) i'm not a bufty i just like things clean so people can distinguish it as a car thats looked after.
my old mundano on cougar rims....long gone and not a moment too soon, it would have cost a fortune to get through its mot.

cheers for the comments.
I really wanted a black st but the wife found this 1 owner 17k job on the net. The colours growing on me. Couldn't pass it up at the price and mileage etc.
Took off the resonator box and it sounds like it should all for nil £'s
I know the 170's aren't quite as cooking as alot of other stuff out there but we're happy with it and it still puts a smile on my face after drivng the yellow scud in one of the pics

I personally think people compare them to the wrong car, like the Civic Type R and so on, when in reality they should be comparing these cars with the focus RS. I've always wanted a ST170, I can imagine they handle great.

If honda made a 5dr type r i'd have had one in a flash. I wanted a Leon cupra over this but couldn't find one in the mileage and colour etc prices were all over the show ranging from 11.5k to 6k. When i found the right one the dealership sold it from under our noses i was gutted. Test drove a cupra r which was quick but just didnt feel as lively when chucking it about. I think out of the box the focus is a sharp handling car and they feel fun which is whats important just a shame you have to wring its neck to keep it on the boil!!

Agreed, we're more than happy with the st and its a lot sharper to drive just that the cupra gives you more for your money thats all. The one we found had the sat nav option, climate and most importantly it was red!
I love driving the st it just feels lighter and more " focused" (excuse the pun) than most cars out there. Its just a bit gutting when you think something like a clio 172 will have the legs on you even a fez st150 will worry it.
When i get chance i'll play with it a bit just to make the most of the chassis. Ford could have done a much better job considering the stuff they are puttiing out now. If they made the rs 250+ the st could have easily been 200brake and really gone against the civic etc. . .
