That looks like Aarons old car it ran a Cossie Managed 16v Zetec with CGI block, Water Injection, Air Injectors and Anti-lag, GRS intercooler and ALL the toys, looked wicked on monte alloys... Some Bastards decided they wanted it more and nicked it.. awesome car, broke the poor blokes heart when that went.
It may be an XR3 but the car is seriously quick by anyone's standards... its so stripped out its unreal and runs a Cossie managed turbo CVH with ALL the tricks, great car.
Both came out of oddkiddcreations

Di's car has un painted bumper corner pieces also
still alive & well, heres a very recent pic

as for the colour change on the one hand you have the fact it will look really good and different to norm but on the other is an S1 in non original colour rite?
i would say yes do it, and as for the wheels

Not worried about resale mate.....keeping this rust bucket forever...or at least i plan to....been doing my head in noow for 4 years....lol
Everything would have to be bare metal, the kit would have to go right back to lastic.....just to stop the white showing if/when youget stone chips etc...
I love it though, I like them in red also.....but wonder if its the fact they are all the same that makes them look so good in another colour.....not that white dont suit them???????

i think you hit the nail on the head there, it does only look so good because you only see them in white usualy, i do think that if they made em in all colours white would be the best tho
i would go for black over red tbh i think the black 1's on this thread look top! especialy the 1's with monte style wheels
the blue decals look better on black as well, dont seem to go on red!i used to know someone with a rep in blue with gold decals, that looked quality as well! to bad it wasnt real
