New Member from France / A few pics of my XR3
Hi !
I'm a new member, from France, near Paris.
I've got a 1982 Escort XR3, and I upgraded it last year, in order to have fun with it... in some French rallyes events.
Here are some pics of it :
So, I don't konw if there some other XR3 or Rallye's fan on this forum... but I hope so

Thanks a lot for welcoming a froggy
_________
Indeed, I am "sponsored" by www. RS80.fr.st, who helped a lot me to get the car ready for the rally, and to put back it in conformity with the "rules" ( airbox, gearbox of XR3i, seats of RS1600i)
However, it's true that I feel a little isolated in Ford in Rally even if we have the pleasure to be (far) behind Cosworth (Escort and Sierra).
A bientôt (see you soon)

Thanks again
Yes it is
In fact, you can do it (and I done it an another car), and globally, it's ok (you can by-pass the "technical control", every 2 years).
The problem exists if you have a serious crash, because your insurance will not cover you...
So it's ok, but only for a track use, not for road

only difference is that we have to go every year to the "technical control"
we are not allowed to lower our cars, fit some aftermarket exhaust, wheels or whatever
but i don't care cause i'm paying them blokes too let me pass the "technical control"
