here mine back with new paint job,lights all round,strips and loads loads more

I'm looking to buy a 3door myself this year so trying to gather some info's. Now I've noticed that some 3door have a sunroof and some haven't. But also some have side indicators on the front panels and some other haven't. Where this options or howcome some cars haven't got this?
Personally I like the cars with a sunroof and side indicators more then the ones without. But if I look at cars for sale (wich aren't a lot over here) most of them don't have a sunroof or indicators. I've also noticed that a lot of the Cosworths are missing the black door mouldings, are they easy to put back on the cars?

Non sunroofs are mototsport (909) shells OR reshelled into a 1.6L etc shell
No side repeaters (indicators) on the european spec models as they weren't required. I am not sure when they were required by law in the UK so there *may* be some in the Uk but these will be reshelled from into an early (1.6 etc shell)
Missing mouldings are from cars that have been re sprayed (mostly) they can not be bought from Ford anymore although there is a company you can get copies from

Lots of original Dutch cars do have side repeaters (thanks for the correct English word) thats what confusing me.
As long as the copies of the mouldings are looking the same it would be fine by me. Maybe I will be lucky and find a car wich do has the original mouldings.

RHD UK 3drs came as one spec only with sunroof and indicators, so as has been said if its RHD with no sunroof its either a 1600 base sierra or been reshelled into a 909 motorsport shell.
However certain LHD european markets had 3drs supplied from the factory as a base spec with no sunroof, side indicators and often no electric windows (a bit like the base models S1 Rs turbos we had in the UK) so most of the LHD cars you are seeing are genuine factory cars not reshells.
I have looked over a few of these LHD base spec 3drs are they are all legit factory cars and I know a reshell when I see one.
also meant to say the moulding are no longer available from Ford, but good aftermarket sets are available in the UK for Ł200 a set

I really do want one with a sunroof, I have it in my ZVH XR3i and just can't live without one anymore I think. Let the hunt begin!

Wrong about the 909 bit.. In mainland europe you could get the 3 door as a "non custom", No electric windows and no sunroof. This is just a cheaper model, nothing whatsoever to do with 909 or motorsport.
