ive been trying to work out how to do a similar idea with the doors open but never got round to trying it out yet

Looks pretty good, I've never got round to doing that either, did you just paste engine bay on then lower opacity and delete with the eraser?

This is the one I did, slightly different as I didnt blur out any of the bay, I had to 'shop out the bonnet lifters though
