Default my v8 3dr donkey project

I have posted these on interford too so some who have looked their might ov allready seen them...

here's some pics ov the engine in situ

crappy quality engine pics btw,

a view of the gearbox which is holding me up finishing the car off cos it wont f**ckin fit

i talked too the guy from magnum engineering where you buy the parts to fit the v8 he says that i should have slotted chassis mounts like in the 4x4 sierra but my shell is a 1.6l 3dr it isnt like that so i am gonna have to mod the engine crossmember and make some extra engine mounts up myself to move it slightly further forward to allow the gbox to bolt up where it should.

engine mounting brackets

a bad nighttime view lol check that rallycross suspension height and that is with the v8 installed and on the 1.6l springs and dampers lol.. the anti rollbar isnt installed in the pic so the front wheel is slightly outta position

btw the pics were taken with a phone cam that isnt upto the job really thats why some pics look crappy i will post some full car pics soon but it's a metallic green 1.6l 3dr shell at the moment so nothing to look at really but i'm hoping when i finally get it painted it that it will look something like this

Are you using the Cossie box with adaptor belhousing?
If you are there is an aluminium mount that bolts to the underside of the box and then the rubber fits to this. When I converted my Sierra to Rover V8 I'm pretty sure that I had to take this off and turn it through 180 degrees, this the moved all the bolt holes so that it bolted straight into the 1.6 3 door shell without any cutting or welding. I can not remember if I used the 1.6 or cossie crossmember though as it was a few years ago now.
XR4x4 rad keeps a Rover engine nice and cool and if you use the P6 Rover water pump and front pully etc you save a couple of inches on engine length.

Keep up the good work

Mark
