At the start it was like this,a 1.4 L .....

I then stripped every nut off it....

And rebuilt it into this

All RST running gear, engine, caged up etc

Its well known on the trackday scene.
All the best,Micky

Question for all those that have done an engine swap in a mk4, what did you put in and how easy was it to do?? what did you need to change?

Mine went from 1.3 crossflow to 1800 zetec to 2.0 zetec but its pretty similar.....

zetec bolted straight up to cvh box so cradle under gearbox bolted in fine, used a modified cvh rear engine mount and that was engine in place, used all EFi management from donor XR3i (just spliced engine loom into original car loom) used mk5 exhaust manifold and downpipe (to run lambda sensor) then cut and shut to fit mk4 exhaust, used mk4 XR3i radiator (need to put t piece in as zetec radiator has 3 outlets and cvh one only has 2) used cvh alternator and bracket but with zetec pulley, think thats it!

Really good conversion - torquey Zetec suits the weight and character of the mk4 shell perfectly - gimme a shout if you want to clarify anything

My GOD i rule! She's undergone a few changes since this was taken, these being:

*clear front indicators & side repeaters

*Zetec S alloys 15" off fiesta mk 5 i believe

& now the most of my work has been focused on restoring her underneath. I'll do a post on that so not to ram this full of those pics.
