They are the Cossie of America! Not many cars in America that I like but that is one of them! 
Good to see a manual box in it as well! I hate disabled chariots with a passion! (auto boxes)

yeah, it's a rs500 bumper. I'm going to find picts of what this car used to look like before....It was called the Junk yard dog!! it was Foooooking Ugly and Busted...but still quick..and then he went out and created this!

I think that engine would go nicely under the bonnet of my Capri!!
On a more serious note, where do you guys in the states buy your forged pistons from, because I need a set at about +1mm oversize to fit a 2 litre pinto engine, for normally aspirated use.
I know Ross do them, but they're still expensive!

Those engines came stock under late 1976 Capris in America - naturally aspirated, but a few folks have put the turbo version into their old Capris.
The Lima engine is not a Pinto engine and as such the pistons are of a different bore size anyway.
Here's my letter to Performance Ford about the subject to prove:
The stock pistons on the Merkur are already forged. A company like Jegs can order you a set of ones for the Pinto engine, as the engine was initially built for the American Ford Pinto (hence the engine name).
The Lima engine is not a Pinto engine and as such the pistons are of a different bore size anyway.

The Pinto engine in America only lasted until 1974, whereas the Lima engine was still available in the Ranger pickup all the way till 2000. As such you may find the availabilty severly limited and prices high.
Your best bet is to call Jegs here in America - but if I were you i'd just buy a set of Mahles from a Cossie there in Britian. I know they ain't cheap!

I told my tuner who happens to have the lovely name of Phil Marshall that you cossie boys gave him the thumbs up!! he was well chuffed!! he has nothing but ReSpect for the cossie!! hmm he does that with an 8valve...imagine what he'll do to my cossie

the twin exhausts look the absolute nads matey. drove an xr4ti when i lived in the states a few years ago and fell in love with it. its a shame we cant really get them over here...you have well and trully done it up well.
