Debadge the ass end, or get it flushed. And get the bump strips on the doors colour coded.

Nice car.

hes kept the rear seats in because there would be a big empty space otherwise and he doesnt want the cage mounts to be visable.

engine is still a 1.8 zetec, just a filter and exhaust at the minute.trying to decide what to do engine wise.either throttle bodies on a 2.0i zetec or a full on zetec turbo.anyone give me a rought idea of how much it would be for the turbo engine?

A turbo zetec could cost about 5k as I've looked into this.

Don't bother, start with a proper engine like a Focus RS or Cossie lump and work from there onwards

Zetec turbo is a proper lump mate, few people have shown that now...

costs far less in the long run aswell

5k builds a VERY good spec, with scope to over 400hp

Yeah, I know they show a lot of potential. But if this lad wants to have more power, and more bang for the buck, then a larger engine is the way to go.

To get 400bhp out of a Zetec E lump will cost quite a bit.

This is what I worked out, and decided to go for a more unique source of power.

How much to buy and build a Duratec FRS lump to over 400hp?

i really rate your car mate but whats unique about putting a Focus RS engine in a Focus

Its a nice car, but feature worthy, i'd say no. Basically it has a load of bolt in/on parts from what i can see and while this makes a nice car, it doesn't really stand out from the crowd too much.

Well, mainly the fact that I have the only focus with an RS conversion, and the only one in black. Pretty unique in my point of view. Plus its a proper FRS engine...I mean look at it...look how amzing it looks in that bay! You need to drive and experience one to know the difference. That, and the fact mine has smaller wheels and a lighter shell

Modest ain't ya

It's unique for now, but not like putting in a cossie lump, or a dirty great V8. Thinking more in terms of innovation. The 1st person to put a RST lump in a XR3i was unique, now look

A cossie lump ain't unique anymore, at least for the moment I'm the only one with an RS engine in a stock shell focus

@ RS Shawn

Aye, I like that Focus. Was on the cover of Fast Ford a few months ago. But the power figure with Nitrous is a bit optamistic though...

If I remember correctly, according to the size jets he was using on the 1.6 Zetec SE lump...he said it produced between 160-170bhp.

But my 1.4 Zetec SE (a while ago) had uprated cams, manifold etc. and Nitrous, which produced 145bhp dead on, at the rollers at Rhyl College in North Wales. Even after swapping to a 1.6 Zetec SE, it couldn't reach those figures.

But then again, I was pumping LOADS more juice than he is, purely because I didn't care since my plans for the RS conversion were coming closer and closer

But who cares, at the end of the day its a VERY mint clean Focus he's got. I like pretty much everything he's done on it.

Get him on here to explain a bit about it!
