He had more knowledge than almost anyone on here, it was his downfall though, apparently he was seen as putting down peeps with 1/10 of his IQ. If you felt threatened by Chip you must have been really insecure or sensitive or needed to raise your IQ. But the mods rule on here & if they say hes gone hes gone.
You win some and you lose some and I think PF has lost a long standing 42k poster part of PF history like it or not ,most people judged him without knowing the person behind the PC and I have chatted to Chip face to face a good few times and I like him and feel he will be missed by many and with tabetha also going recently its very sad
Me too. I know people who know chip and have heard he is totally mechanically inept. Unable to remove a shock absorber from a clio on his own, all his cars are shit heaps and he is yet to build anything that is half good, the nova he bought with the rear engine conversion done and has just tinkered with ever since. He still lives with his mum yet apparantely earns a small fortune.
This is all what I have heard from people who know him, just seems to have read a few tuning books that's all!

To be fair i think the mod that gave him infaction points for saying "wind your neck in" has gone totaly over the top,i dont know about all the other stuff hes done but for just saying that should not be getting these infraction points,just like when i got threatened with a ban for having a over sized sig twice, its a joke
As you seem to like bringing this up every chance you get let me just make it very clear to you and others the PM you received on both occassions!!
The PM you were sent is a standard PM sent to anyone with an oversized signature, its not joke and you were asked twice with basically the same worded PM not to upload an oversize signature... i would have thought you might have worked that out after receiving the same PM twice that it was standard wording.
Yes the PM states "Failure to continue to adhere to the rules may result in a ban from the entire site." but you didnt get a ban or even an infraction so what's your problem?
The fact is many members still access this site using a dial up connection and if we had threads full of massive signatures it would take ages for the page to load, thats the main reason why we are strict on signatures.
Below is the standard PM I send out to members with oversized signatures which has been approved by admin as the one to use.
