Default General car chat forum - moderation?

Since the split of GD I have noticed quite a few threads in the car GD section that should really be moved to the correct sub forum.

Right now there are queries regarding Focus RS' and cossies.

Yes these are "car chat" but seeing as the forum rules are now geared towards using the correct forums for posting surely they should be moved?!

Thanks. Please help a little more by pressing the RTM button if you dont mind. We are bound to miss a few out of 4.5 million a month, especially at xmas when we are all so busy offline, so your help will always be appreciated.

I've reported maybe a half dozen threads today and none have been moved.

I think if this split GD is going to work then the general car chat should be moderated to split things into the appropriate other forums where possible.

if everything was moved to the room that the model refered to i doubt many people would reply to that topic.. if it is car related then i can see that leaving it in the general car related forum will get some replys rather than hardly anyone looking at it ..
at what point do you feel that they should be moved ?
after being posted ?
with a few answers?
at what point is a car question NOT general car chat ?

just interested in your views....

common sense will prevail in the end no doubt.

Are you joking???? I thought the grand master plan for PF was to have everyone posting in the correct forums about the correct things?!

This was part of the reason why I thought the twin GD was a load of shite.

Now we have general car chat which is an excuse not to use the correct car sub forums and we have general non car discussion which is like the muppet room but a few rungs up the ladder

I'd genuinely like Stu's opinion on this matter. He asked me to report threads in Car GD which shouldn't be there and then they stayed for ages until T moved them.

It seems rather silly to ask people to use the correct forums yet mods are not modding them correctly!

As it happens I'm getting along with the twin GD even though I prefer it the other way but it's because it's interesting to read about other car stuff from other marques or technical stuff not specific to one of our sub forums. I don't particularly want to have to see threads on that forum to do with RST's, mondeo's or other things that should be in the correct forum.

Clarification of posting for both users and moderation would be great.

Thanks
